more than a love story

Don't get me wrong, this is not a romance light novel about a love triangle or betrayal.
It is to tell that in real life, people are often not what we imagine.

Christie is not a crazy ex-girlfriend, Beth is not a lucky girl with a necklace, Block 33A is not Tommy's high-spirited apartment, and that rainy night in a taxi is not a punishment at all.

The footnotes of the book, the narration of the movie, may all be bull shit and the wishful thinking of the parties involved.
Looking back at it again, it subverts all black and white. Aside from those murmurs, the cause and effect are connected in series, and a fair hammer can be dropped.

tommy won't change his nature and daniel will never learn to lie. The next day comes, life goes on, there are still people trying to play the good guy in the love game.

So what is real and what is unreal.
Be true to your heart and make choices that you know without looking at a coin.

The structure of the story is good. If you look closely, the presentation of every detail is also exquisite.
The step-by-step development of the male and female protagonists, the books they talk about, the places they meet, and the choices about their dreams are all compared before and after.
Some romance, some fairy tales, but pretty practical love advice.
Some of the plots in the middle are delayed, but it seems that you can be fooled by AB's charming eyes ^^

A very classic line is: Forgetting your dreams means that dreams never existed.

haven't seen it yet, look for it next time.

The Good Guy quotes

  • Daniel Seaver: Sometimes people just aren't who you thought they were.

  • Daniel Seaver: He loved her more than anything, even his own life. I think that's what love is. Anything else is just, a distraction.
