The framing, soundtrack, characterization, etc. have to be admired, but it is like an article that serves the Christian mission with a deviation from the theme, and is covered with a well-structured and skilled shell. The perspective used by the director to reflect the colonial history itself did not break away from the rut of colonialism itself. The main characters in the film, regardless of the villains, are Westerners. The Indians are aphasia groups: their resistance needs the leadership and help of a loving priest in the West; their language and ideas cannot be directly known by the audience, but they need the translation of the priest; the reason for their confrontation with the bishop is that they believe that they are God The devout believers should therefore not be expelled... The film does not reflect the main spirit of Indian revolt, and it is obviously unqualified in reflecting on the theme of colonialism. Imagine if the resistance of the priests and the Indians was successful, I thought that this ending would still be a tragedy for the Indians. Christianity had penetrated into the tropical jungles pervasively, and completed their colonization tasks in places where guns and shells could not reach.

Martyrdom in their own ways...I really have no patience for religious subjects...Uncle Tie! I want to kneel down for Uncle Tie! But everyone is really a Facebook tool, but it's OK. Hong Da's actor's surname is Pickup hahaha. It was Morricone again, and the bells were blazing with fire. It's hard not to think of Apocalypse Now #SIFF2021# Studios
Altamirano: [to Cabeza and Hontar] And you have the effrontery to tell me that this slaughter was necessary?
Mendoza: Though I have all faith so that I could remove mountains and have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor and though I give my body to be burned and have not love, it profiteth me nothing. Love suffereth and love is kind. Love envieth not. Love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child. But when I became a man, I put away childish things. But now abideth faith, hope, love... these three. But the greatest of these is love.
