"Gomorrah" - more difficult

I don't know why, after watching this movie, there will be such a word in my mind, that is - "difficult". In fact, there is not only one, but many "difficult" words superimposed together.
A "difficult". In this day and age, being able to endure and read it is a great difficulty. The opening shot of the artificial ultraviolet light is extremely uncomfortable, the composition is not particular, the color is unsightly, and the time is long, and there is no sense of being brought into it. 30 minutes into the film, I don't know who the main character is and what the main line of the story is. Entering the middle part, the relationship between the characters is still difficult to distinguish, and the main contradictions and conflicts still do not appear. After watching it, it has to be said that it is a good film, but the coldness and heaviness are accumulated in the chest and tired. Indeed, in this day and age, such films can find several audiences, especially in China. It doesn't mean that everyone can't understand it, but it means that a few people have the leisure to understand, so what if they understand it. Even those who pretend to be like me have to say something from the bottom of my heart, I still watch "Transformers" comfortably. You don't have to think about it, the orgasm will happen every 5 minutes, and the pleasure is from beginning to end, so why not do it. However, although it lacks some hormones and visual pleasure, it has more fun of thinking, which is also considered to my appetite. Having said that, this is indeed a good film, a social text that goes beyond the film itself, there is no doubt about that.
Two "difficult". It's so hard to make a movie like this. Just imagine how difficult it is to show the living conditions of a group in a feature film rather than a documentary. There is no central character, no narration and subtitles, and no character interviews. We can only dig a trickle of life far away and quietly, and measure the pH value of this trickle with stories that seem to exist. There are so many life scenes to set, so many extras to schedule, and so many life-like lines to consider, and more importantly, just how much effort it takes to understand this group. Thinking about it is too big, I don't know where to start. Such a film can only appear in Europe. It is a reflection of civilization and a luxury of civilization.
The above "dilemma" was my biggest feeling in the first hour of the film. Perhaps it was because I felt the director's difficulty that I insisted on watching it.
Then, three "difficulties". Difficulty in inheritance. The neo-realism movement in Italy in the 1950s has long since passed, "Bicycle Thief" has already driven a car, "Umberto.D" has long been lying in the cemetery, but I don't want this ancient blood It can continue to this day, encouraging the young heart of "Gomorrah". When I wrote this, I suddenly remembered that "Gamora" is very similar to Rossellini's "Rome, Undefended City", not only in performance and style, but also in the ending. (If I remember correctly) It seems that studying film history is still beneficial. Not only can you show off in front of your friends, but you can also create an illusion of erudition in the implication of mutual texts, hehe. However, this difficulty is not too difficult to say, because European films are inherently dead and dying. Luc Besson's breakout was not successful and was despised by others. Golden brake plants such as the Palme d'Or, Golden Lion, and Golden Bear entertain themselves every year without anyone paying attention. The film has long since become a small group of intellectuals and bored youths. It is not too outrageous to dig into the ancestral grave of neorealism in such a context.
The following "difficulties" are mixed together. The narrative and structure of such a film is very difficult. Because it's a story about the lives of a large group of people, there's no protagonist, there's no core conflict, there's no plot point, but it still has to be a story, it has to be strung together. To be honest, after watching the film, I still can't tell which faction the characters in the film belong to, let alone what kind of grievances they have and why they fight, but this is exactly what the director wants to achieve. Without the protagonist, there would be no central point of view, and the audience would not be able to understand the world in the film from point to point, and would no longer have a fixed perspective and mindset to interpret the film, the ambiguity and ambiguity of reality. It is also produced. Multiple characters, it should be said that there are multiple characters without any explanation or introduction, constitute a gangster Ukiyo-e with a scatter perspective, which is very tense The empathy for the protagonist also loses the conveyance of the concept and value after the confrontation between good and evil. The world in the film is a miniature of the real world. There is no causal relationship that seems inevitable, and there is no obvious right and wrong. Violence no longer needs elaborate preparation and preparation. It happens inadvertently in life, so fast and sudden that even panoramic shots cannot fully capture it. It's real violence stripped of romance and aesthetics, bulletless slow motion and close-ups of blood splatters, it's scary because you don't know when and where it's happening, cold and hard. This kind of violent fear that diffuses in the daily atmosphere is always shrouded in the second half of the film, making the seemingly ordinary life full of crisis. Similar to the way violence is expressed, all the underworld and criminal activities in the film also take this daily treatment. All the sins happened naturally, as if life was supposed to be like this. You may be indifferent when you watch the film, but this seemingly understatement of sin brings a deeper level of fear. Fear of life, fear of human nature. It is quite dangerous for a film to abandon the dramatic way of telling, and this line drawing is undoubtedly the master and the hardest.
After a lot of hard talk, I finally talk about my views on Italian. Italian always gives me the impression of being restless, and I've felt that way since watching 8 1/2. Recently I was reading a famous book on communication, "Entertainment to Death", which gave me a new perspective on Italian. If it is said that "the most effective way to understand a culture is to understand the tools used for conversation in that culture", then Italian culture is undoubtedly closely related to Italian. Italian gave me the first impression that it is unclear, of course, this is just my intuition, I do not understand Italian. After watching a lot of Italian films, this feeling is even stronger, and I feel more and more that it is a language for expressing emotions rather than meanings. It is often seen that the characters in the film speak a lot of words like a cannonball, and it is only a short sentence when translated into Chinese, and they are used to adding a lot of gestures to say such a short sentence. And in daily life, there are always disputes and roars, which makes Italian, which is hard to listen to, even more anxious. And this kind of anxiety and irrational feeling is also obvious in Italians, which confirms that "the medium of communication in a certain culture has a decisive influence on the form of the spiritual center of gravity and the material center of this culture." That is what we often say "The medium is the message". Following this line of thought leads to the reason why I think Italy has more artists and less philosophers. Because, "the form of the medium prefers some special content, and thus ultimately controls the culture", Italian prefers sensibility over rationality, of course, there are more artists than philosophers. Since I justified it, I feel a little more comfortable. Although there is no textual research, it can be regarded as a solution to my personal confusion.
I didn't expect this "Gomorrah" to lead me to so much nonsense. Well, it is indeed a good movie. Recommended to patient friends.

Very organized in a normal country, very real, very primitive, very violent, very criminal, very beautiful! ! ! Such a "beautiful" organization, such a simple violence and scramble that needs no explanation; money and power.
