Cup 1: The characters are inherited
in "Black 1". The desperate ending has basically wiped out all hope of life. This extreme ending is also commendable. What is frustrating is that at the beginning of the second part, the former heroine Sarah broke into the camera again, and in addition to some ketchup smeared by the makeup artist on her face, she could actually see snow-white skin! I couldn't help but be stunned, was Sarah suddenly possessed by a "bride" at a critical moment, to break out of the siege with the energy to kill Bill? So many cannibals are too weak. With the development of the plot, the inability of the cannibals was confirmed again. Juno, who had a hook on his leg, made an outrageous appearance again. I can't help but ask. , can survive the hardship, and still be in high spirits, what kind of ability is this? There is only one answer, and that is superpower.
Cup 2: Insufficient bedding
"Black 1" has a lot of space to foreshadow the characters and conflicts before the cave is blocked, so the conflicts that break out in a state of emergency are acceptable to the audience. The starting point of "Black 2" is to find the missing girl. The search and rescue trio, the sheriff, and the policewoman, as the fresh food of the monster, entered the cave and game over without enough scenes to show their characters. So when we encounter monsters in the cave, everyone's behavior makes us a little abrupt. The sheriff's irritability, the ambiguous relationship between the two men and one woman in the search and rescue trio, and why the female police officer also went down the hole, these questions have always lingered, and I couldn't find the answer until the subtitles appeared. But the most abrupt thing is Sarah. She just experienced the change of life and death, and she went back to the original place stupidly! She's down again! The director explained to us that Sarah lost her memory, so she did not refuse. Sarah's miraculous survival and how to lose her memory, let's not talk about it, don't forget that the death of her husband and daughter in the first part made her unable to break free for a year, how could she forget the unforgettable fear in just two days! It is estimated that the answer given by the director Neil is: I like Sarah too much, oh, and Juno.
Cup 3: The atmosphere creates
a heavy and terrifying atmosphere created by a dark and cramped space. "Black 1" has achieved a certain height. In the suffocating space, there is always worry about the monster that appears behind you, keeping the audience on a thread. But "Black 2" greatly weakened the performance of the narrow cave, and focused on the bloody struggle between people and monsters. This has also reduced it from a psychological thriller to a pure visual thriller. In the eyes of today's audiences who are stimulated by light and shadow, if there is no support from a strong story, no matter if the skull is crushed, the mouse burrows out of the mouth or the blood in the sky, it will not affect the meal at all. good mood.
Cup 4: pretending at the end
In the extreme state, the energy released by a woman may be much greater than that of a man, and the director absolutely believes in this truth. So it's the woman who comes to the end again. But the film that was sprayed with plasma for 90 minutes suddenly gave the heroine a moral sublimation, which is really unacceptable. Sarah finally sacrificed her life. She traded her own death for the policewoman's life. One can think of the motive of the director's design: Sarah is alone, but the policewoman's daughter is still waiting for her mother, and she feels the same about giving up her life to maintain the love between the policewoman and her daughter. There is true love in the world! The starting point is good, but the shortcomings are still abrupt. How much courage is needed to give up the hope of life! Sarah's source of courage is only sympathy and the distance from the hole, the heat is not enough. The discerning person knows that the policewoman came out of the hole, but there must be an ending like the first one waiting for her. Sure enough, the old man at the beginning of the film turned out to be a monster breeder! This is unexpected, it is a bright spot.
Of course, finding bugs for low-cost B-grade films is not something I am happy to do. There is always a balance in the audience's heart, and there are some good ones and some bad ones. If it can tip the scales for the better like the first one, then I can totally ignore all its flaws. Unfortunately, this time, the scales have tipped the bad side.
