Commentary on the 2011 edition of "Wuthering Heights" - looking for you in the haze

After watching the new version of "Wuthering Heights", there were very few lines in two hours,
and there was not much description about "revenge".
Fortunately, it was not made into a real tearjerker drama,
but it can be regarded as a "boring film" .

The only thing that attracts me to watch the whole movie is the atmosphere in the film. It is gloomy and humid and there is no trace of sunlight.
The director has created that gloomy atmosphere very well,
especially the wild wind in the haze, harsh and rough. Gloomy but very real, very feeling!
It can only be said that the effort in the atmosphere rendering is more than the storytelling itself.

The small actors occupy a longer period of time, but their performances are indeed inferior to those of the big actors, and they are
not enough to take the lead.
In the first half of the performance of the little actors, I didn't feel much,
but what moved me was at the end when Heathcliff heard Katherine's sadness, his roaring
"don't leave me here and can't find you" The place”
looked very sad.

The only thing that disillusioned me the most in the film was that Wuthering Heights was built too... too "crippled"? ? ?

Only a director with boldness and style will adapt the famous book in this way. Instead of using the story itself, he uses the language of the movie to describe the temperament of the original work. The lens is beautiful.

Originally I didn't like Xi's character! I always hated hand-cranked camera! Congratulations to your director.... Both of them hit my point. The color contrast of the N night scene is not enough, if you are watching from the standpoint of an audience who doesn't know the original work There should be a three-character movie review after this movie.
