I watched it twice, each time with tears streaming down my face. The first scene after opening the movie has deeply attracted me. At the beginning, the protagonist Anna narrates the question about why she came to this world. Her conclusion is that she can save her cancer sister. Anna is a kind and brave girl. She has endured the pain of surgery for her sister, and took care of her without complaint. In the face of her mother who was brought to court by her and the cold eyes of others, she still insisted on staying with her sister. The promise not to tell the truth can only prove that she loves her sister very much. What appeals to me more about this film is its narration, where the present and the past and the memories are interspersed, which reminds me of the stream-of-consciousness feeling of The Sound and the Furious, the film is about everyone's feelings about the same thing. The narration and different views of the incident also made me realize the problem that different characters have different feelings from different positions, and I also understood the urgency of parents who are unwilling to give up their children's lives. Although the film shows all kinds of emotions between relatives, what makes me particularly feel is my mother's love for Kate. She clearly knows that Kate wants to give up her life, but her subconscious is constantly rejecting this idea. As for the feeling that Kate never said such depressing words to her, her life has been completely changed because of Kate's illness. Without being a mother by herself, even though I know that mother's love is very great, her love still makes me sigh again. In the film, the lawsuit between mother and Anna is the main line, so many people will ignore the silent dedication of father and brother to Kate, but it can still be observed in the details in the film. Impressed, and the way Dad took Kate to the beach shows his love and responsibility for the whole family.
In general, this is a story about facing death with the theme of family love. The film Anna said that death is death, it is just death, we should remember when we were alive, that is, once, just Like Anna said, it's not that my sister died but that I once had a sister.
