People who don't want to be Pope are not good actors

At first I thought the film was a religious film with a dignified image (the title and poster are too deceptive), with profound political implications. Ten minutes later I realized that I was wrong, and the film took a sharp turn for the new Pope's sobbing of fear and turned into a realistic humanistic ethics film. With the Pope slipping away, the film immediately incarnates the Pope's version of "Roman Holiday", and the director continues to create humorous emotions to attract the audience's attention. When the Pope puts on the holy robe, you think he is going to start a journey to explore inner strength; when the psychiatrist intervenes, you think that the next step will be to unearth the secrets in the dark corners of human nature with a persecuting sharp rhythm; The high-ranking pope sneaked into the hotel kitchen and "wailed" you must have lost the love of your parents when you were a child, and you can only say "okay". The director keeps creating clues and cutting them off, as if you were trying to scratch the itch here, only to find out that you touched the wrong place after a long time.

But even if you can't categorize the film, you have to admit that the film has two outstanding features. One is that it puts forward the shocking assumption that "the Pope has run away", and the other is a deduction of the fear of the Pope.

It does not seem difficult to achieve the former point. The director Moretti is an atheist himself, so there will be no scruples in handling the subject matter. The film does not involve teachings, and there is absolutely no dyslexia for the general audience. Under his lens, the holy Vatican has become the "active center of old cadres" for the cardinals. These old people are no different from old urchins, and they even care about winning and losing when playing cards. The happy atmosphere has transformed the Vatican from a religious ideal. The country has become a secular ideal country, and the "World Cup" volleyball match organized by the psychiatrist even adds inspirational drama to the film.

How powerful is the Pope? There is a joke in "Rage Against Heaven": God will do what the Pope says.

Although this is not a reality, the Pope's every move has a profound impact on Catholicism. In the fourth century, because of a dream of Pope Liberio, the Virgin Mary became the core of worship.

By now, the Vatican has become almost synonymous with scandal, and popes and bishops have frequently become the protagonists of satire. Although Catholicism is no longer in the hands of secular power, as the spiritual leader of a billion believers, the pressure of the pope to be in the limelight can be imagined. The price of being a saint is that you are deprived of the right to make mistakes. As it is said in the Gospel of Matthew: Whoever among you wishes to be great shall be your servant. Whoever wants to be first will be your servant. The so-called great power comes with great responsibility, and this responsibility is a surging level like "I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse". The film also deliberately exaggerated the timidity of the bishops when choosing a new pope. In reality, many people have probably encountered that kind of entanglement when choosing class cadres.

Unfortunately, the new pope is the unwilling majority. You can't say he lacks ability without him, but as a leader, sometimes you really have to have certain qualities, like Martin Luther King's ability to incite people's hearts, Obama's ability to inspire people's speeches, Bush's ability to entertain, in other words, If you want to be a brother, you must have a strong desire to express, you must believe in nonsense that you can't even do it yourself, and you must have the confidence to succeed before you get this role. Obviously the pope is not, and people may choose him more out of personal respect for him.

"God gives you this position, and you will have the ability to match this job." If it is an animation or a comedy, it will definitely make you believe that "the sky is the best for people", no matter how big the difficulty is, you will overcome it like a god. But Diaosi's counter-attack often just stays in the imagination of Diaosi's brain.

Although the contact between the Pope and the female psychiatrist is almost superficial, what kind of person the Pope is is reflected from a small side. For example, he would greet soldiers cordially in the garden, he would not take the initiative to ask for help when he was helpless, he could memorize lines but only learn from actors, even when he was reluctant to be entrusted with the duties of the pope. Reluctant to accept in the eyes of all expectations - I can even deduce that the Pope is an ISFP personality trait (friendly and humble, emotionally involved; caring for others and being sincere; sensitive to criticism and easily hurt; loyal to his own values; Dislikes direct self-expression; dislikes getting involved in arguments and conflicts; has little desire to dominate and control others.)

I used to think that everyone has unlimited potential for development, and I was always troubled by the unchangeable predicament. But now I feel more and more that the neurons in the sulci and gyri cortex of the brain are the comprehensive factors that determine the gift ability of each of us. Even if there is a potential for breakthrough, you may not be able to touch the key to open the door. For example, introverts envy extroverts. But the attempts to emulate it were futile. Our society is too fond of commenting on what is right or wrong, and under a unified value standard, we are exhausted every day for things beyond our ability. Time to move out of Woody Allen's life experience - I'm content with my limitations. Face it, admit it, and listen to your inner voice.

Having said that, I believe that most of the choices we make, whether good or bad, are actually listening to our inner voice.
