It's been a long time since I watched the first season, so I revisited it, starting from the first episode.
All the characters are fresh faces, fresh faces, and distinct characters; by contrast, the characters in the second season have matured a lot. For example, the makeup of the heroine Emily has changed from the summer fresh makeup in the first season to the second season. Season's mature ladies' makeup is a lot worse.
The first season, from the plot arrangement, to the soundtrack, to the broadcast structure, has been ingeniously arranged and coordinated, and it looks pleasing to the eye.
Personally, I think the script must be a revenge route that the screenwriters have planned for a long time and compiled very delicately. But with the popularity of the TV series being renewed, the script needs to extend and complicate the story, and they don't know how to arrange it, and there are many clues that have not been fully considered. From the second half of the first season, the plot is still ups and downs and fascinating, but after watching it, there is a little bit of deliberately aggravating all kinds of suspense for the sake of complexity and ups and downs, but the overall coherence is not considered. For example, Victoria's painter boyfriend suddenly appeared and left, so in the second season, there are more such characters in revenge, and they feel that the mess has come and gone mysteriously, and I don't know what big promotion effect it can have.
