How can I become an adult?

First of all, let me say that I'm not very interested in the editing and footage of "Beginners". It's too concise, a little fresh, and boring. It's like reading a section of teaching records. Of course, this method is very suitable for the title of the film, but I really don't like it, it took three splits to watch it.
The story is also simple, the time spent alone with a neurotic Jewish mother as a child, the day and night company with a gay father in adulthood, and the blonde actress girlfriend that I met at a drag party. In contrast, how much can be learned from a person, and how much can not be learned in a lifetime. All of this really keeps me thinking.

I used to think that after becoming an adult (adult), people will do a lot of useful and mature things, such as: work seriously, participate in various social activities, take responsibility, realize self-worth, make some inventions Or create, invest in a fairly stable relationship, and build a family. (Okay, the last two points may not be done/needed by everyone) The grown-ups are no longer sitting around and living aimlessly anyway. Doing meaningless things, these are just behaviors of young people who waste their lives because they are not mature enough.
The above is what I thought before, seeing Ivan and his companions spraying graffiti everywhere, driving around idle with his actor girlfriend, and drawing some unknown illustrations. Even his dad was addicted to Andy's love affair, and to build those messed up gay unions. . . These seem so useless.
They are all adults worthy of their name, but their behavior is very childish, like a bunch of wayward children.
Looking at the whole society, the information that I see every day is not mature. The adults go to the acid because of the betrayal of their spouses. , adults lie and spread rumors because of boredom. . . It doesn't quite match what I thought.
Could it be that the people I see now are the final state of adults, and now I am also an adult, and I don’t seem to be in the expected state of adults. Is it really that the adults are so desolate? Is it just the over-exaggeration of the parents on the adults in the old days, the purpose is to make the children admire them and listen to their teachings? Alas, I have to say I'm quite disappointed.
It would be great if I could see more real "adults" in reality in the future, or if I could be a real "adult" myself.

There is another point in the film that is well done. It reminds me of what happened to my parents, so it won't be an ordinary worry.

It was the first time I saw a movie that showed homosexuality so "beautiful", it was real, plain and warm. We are beginners every day when it comes to gay life, when it comes to accepting love, when it comes to our lives.
