I have many questions

If I rated this movie 5 stars, many of my previous 5 star movies should be downgraded.
From the point of view of a suspense film, it is because of editing, the order of storytelling is different from normal, so there is a feeling of "Oh, so it is!".

The film discusses more about things other than suspense.

I'm trying to figure out these questions:

Cobb is an old bald guy, why bother to devise such a game to kill the girl? Why not just kill it? (The girl designed the game, for blackmail? She loves Cobb, but Cobb is a bald undercover agent? Still can't explain why she didn't just kill her?) Or for excitement? ?

Why tell the story in such a messy way?

What is the point of a bag during theft? Why do you have to find a bag to pack things?

Does he love her? Or for voyeurism? Does she love him? Or for the money?

Why was Bill trying to get money when he tried to break the safe?

Why did Bill pretend to let Cobb come to his house? What psychology?

There is almost no soundtrack, like the screeching sound of a relatively quick wheel turning.

Are people actually willing to be spied on their secrets?

The Policeman: Is this your handwriting?

    Bill: Yes

  • [first lines]

Bill: The following is my explanation. Well, more of an account of what happened. I'd been on my own for a while and getting kind of lonely... and bored... nothing to do all day. And that's when I started shadowing.

    The Policeman: Shadowing?

Bill: Shadowing - Following. I started to follow people

    The Policeman: Who?

    Bill: Anyone at first. Um,

    [sniffs]

Bill: you know, that was the whole point - somebody at random, someone who didn't know who I was.

    The Policeman: And then?

    Bill: And then nothing.
