<A thousand Hamlets>

As a Jane fan, I don't care about the plot and content of her classic works. I watch the drama to see whether a thousand Hamlets fit the book and the one in my heart.

The classics are hard to surpass. The BBC version is not as good as the Ang Lee version, and the setting of the lines is also slightly inferior.

Edward is played by the big cousin. It's not that he is not suitable for this role, but that he was guided by Ang Lee's version of Hugh Grant. The blinking and half-mouthed expressions imitate Hugh Grant too much, even the forehead. Front curly hair, and these are the qualities of Hugh Grant himself, he has shown the same temperament in many movies, four weddings and a funeral, Notting Hill, or the bitter moon, he is obviously better at grasping Edward such a shy shy character.

The biggest flaw is Marianne's character, the BBC version is more rough and horny, while Ang Lee's Kate Winslet plays the innocent and charming to the fullest. This gap is very obvious. The BBC version often ignores, doesn't listen to persuasion and gets angry for no reason. The overall feeling is that bitch is bitchy, so when I saw Willoughby leave and Willoughby's fiancee rolled her eyes, I secretly applauded, little bitch. There is also today. Winslet is distressing. And this gap is mainly reflected in the lines, followed by the actors' acting skills themselves.

The second flaw is Willoughby. It is true that the BBC version is very handsome, handsome in classical fashion. Dominic Cooper is far more famous and handsome than Greg Wise. , Wise's thin cheeks are more in line with the setting of Wiiloughby's slutty heartthrob. Gossip, BBC Willoughby's ex is the sweetheart heroine in the Time Planning Bureau.

Col. Brandon will not comment. Ang Lee's version is my favorite Alan Rickman. I can't be objective about other people's performances.

Elinor is really good in the 2008 version. The actors in Ang Lee's version were all 36 at the time. After all, Elinor in the original book was only 19 years old. Although she is the eldest sister, although the character's personality is cautious and prudent, she is not emotional enough, and she is more than rational. .

On the contrary, the female supporting roles have bright spots, such as Mary, who is shrewd and kind. These two temperaments are actually difficult to reflect together, and they are really outstanding. And Lucy and so on.

After talking about the supporting characters and speaking the lines, this mainly reflects the difference between the screenwriters. The screenwriter of Ang Lee’s version is Emma Thompson, who was born in the Cambridge English literature class. She is a screenwriter and has also acted in dramas. The feminine and tactful personality of women is used by her to deal with it. The script lines, coupled with Ang Lee's delicacy, especially Jane's is very suitable.
The well-known screenwriter of the BBC version is Andrew Davies. He not only adapted the Sense and Sensibility of the BBC version in 2008, but also adapted the Pride and Prejudice of the BBC version in 1995. The standards of the two are exactly the same. I also think that the Pride and Prejudice in 1995 Not as good as the 2005 version. His two most famous works are BJ's Singles Diary and House of Cards, which are excellent. Personally, I think he is more suitable for the modern style of ridicule, and he is not good at the description of the needle hidden in the cotton.

Having said so much, it seems that there is no dry material to support why I do not give a high evaluation of the 08 version. Finally, I will end with an example, the scene of Edward's confession, the climax of the whole play. I use this part to explain why the Ang Lee version is better than the 08 version.

Version 08:
Servant notices, Edward enters the room, mother wishes you delight, I hope you left Mrs. Ferrars very well, dismount, and then Elinor makes up for himself, Is Mrs Ferrars at Exeter? Provocative means, very dramatic conflict. Then Edward explained that my sister was married to my brother, not me, the younger sister directly said that you came to propose to my sister, Elinor ran out crying, Edward confessed, I came here with no expectation. After everything that is happened, you have every right to turn me away this instant. But I cannot leave here without concerting the intensity of my feelings for you. I loved you at Norland, almost from our first encounter. I could not express it then as I was bound by my promise to Lucy. But I think you felt it ,and were puzzled and hurt by my lack of openness with you. Let me be open now. Every day since I first saw you, my love for you has grown. Elinor, I know, I have no right to hope, but I must ask, Can you forgive me? Can you love me? Will you Marry me? Elinor cried and laughed as they kissed. BGM. Finish
It seems to be very dramatic, Edward came prepared, without hesitation, the overall rules are within the rules, if there is no Ang Lee, maybe he can pass.

Ang Lee version:
The servant announced, Edward stood at the door of the room, greeting, Edward was very nervous, a little stammered, and then embarrassed, the little girl talked about the weather to resolve the awkward atmosphere, basically the words the road is dry, silent embarrassment, as if Zhu guide commented It was the same mysterious silence during the World Cup, and then his mother invited him to take a seat, may I wish you great, Edward walked into the room, passed Elinor, but didn't look at her, Elinor lowered his eyes behind him. Everyone is seated. awkward silence. Edward sat for a while and felt that something was wrong, and pulled out an embroidered stretcher from under his butt (corresponding to the front, everyone was caught off guard and hurriedly arranged it), Marianne took the stretcher and greeted I hope you left Mrs. Ferrars very well. The same lines, but arranged in such a scene does not seem rushed and very natural, and there are two seconds of silence. Mom asked, Is Mrs Ferrars in New xxx? No, my mo...mother is in town. Then explain that my sister is married to my brother. He was a little nervous and stumbling all the time during this, standing up and walking around the fireplace, playing with the knickknacks on the fireplace, without looking at everyone, like talking to himself, after he finished, Elinor stood up, asked, and you… ..not married? No. Elinor turned around and burst into tears. Mom and sister looked at each other and hurried out of the room. Confession, I looked Lucy when I was very young, If I had professional I should never fail to foolish intention. My behaviour in Norland is very wrong. But I convince is friendship, and my heart is at risk. I came here with no expectation , only to prove my…..My heart is….and always will be yours.BGM.
Then the camera turned, outside the house, in the sun, the mother and sisters were waiting excitedly, the little sister climbed up the tree house to observe the movement of the two people in the house and reported to her mother and sister, he is sitting with her…..wait….. .he is kneeling down, mother and sister hugged happily and left tears, the BGM was turned up. Finish.
In fact, version 08 is contrary to the original intention of the book. 08 said that Edward fell in love with Elinor at first sight, but because of his engagement with Lucy, he couldn't express it. Now that Lucy is married to his younger brother, he can be with Elinor. The Ang Lee version is more realistic and closer to the original. Lucy, Edward loved, Elinor, because they were already married, so they couldn't love anymore. Although I always felt that friendship crossed the line, I was young at that time, and I didn't have a job. Now I'm mature, and I can tell the difference. , I love you.

In other words, the 2008 version only focuses on the plot, not the details, or the inner activities of the characters in the book. And I prefer movie scenes that fit the personality and psychology of the characters in the book.

As for the soundtrack, costumes and props, Ang Lee is a master of these minutiae. As a whole, the BBC version is not as good as the Ang Lee version.

Although the Ang Lee version is an insurmountable mountain, I still hope to see better remakes in the future.

Blake Ritson has good eyesight, Eleanor's eldest sister Hattie Morahan is as gentle as jade and has a temperament like blue, 17-year-old Marianne's desperate girlish passion is also convincing, and the little sister is very aura. It's a pity that the female lead was chosen correctly, the male lead was wrong, and the beautiful men in the UK were caught casually. Fortunately, the blue eyes and white shirt of Edward DanStevens came to the rescue.
