If one could be reincarnated

First of all, the film is good in terms of plot, although the pace is a little slow. But after all, it is not a typical sci-fi film, it should be a drama film.
It is also reasonable for the film to attribute people to reincarnation.
But if it is considered logically that the population of the world is getting bigger and bigger, whose soul are those extra bodies filled with?

If you say it is the soul of an animal, is the total number of animals on the entire earth also growing continuously?
But in fact, I think even if there is a soul, those low-level animals do not have a soul.

If the extra souls come from outer space, then the number of intelligent life in the entire universe should also be increasing.

Also, does anyone have accurate data to compare with the global birth rate and death rate roughly comparable?

Science constructed by data seems to have to be mixed with a little mystery to make life interesting? Humans really need imagination, no matter what kind of imagination it is. The unknowns are always so fascinating - even though they are often cryptic metaphysics or conspiracy theories

The content and form are similar to "Eternal Sunshine of the Beautiful Mind", the dialogue is very nerdy, and the author's film is obvious. The pace of the latter third accelerated, but the conclusion was obvious. Unfortunately, the subversion of science by faith failed to form a complete link with the subversion of faith by science. The soundtrack and visual effects are fresh and moving.

I Origins quotes

  • [first lines]

Ian: Every living person on this planet has their own unique pair of eyes. Each their own universe. My name is Doctor Ian Gray. I'm a father, and husband, and I'm a scientist. When I was a child, I realized that the camera was designed exactly like the human eye, taking in light through a lens, forming it into images. I began taking as many pictures of eyes as I possibly could. I'd like to tell you the story of the eyes that changed my world.

  • Kenny: Are you hitting on the waitress in front of your pregnant wife?

Karen: I don't know if you know this about me, Kenny, but the gene for jealousy? Recessive.
