beyond the mountains

Mungi's 2012 film, based on true events, tells the story of the heroine Vicchia looking for Alina who grew up with her in order to continue her love affair, but the latter repeatedly refused for devotion and religion. After the courtship failed, he broke down emotionally, and was believed by the monastery to be possessed by a demon, and died unexpectedly after an exorcism. The surface layer is about the despair after love is blocked, and the inner layer is the closed-type thinking of religion. Under the seemingly transparent and unreserved confession, it is to suppress emotions and avoid emotional responsibility. This is essentially conservative and closed. It has far exceeded the geographical differences in the situation on the mountain and outside the mountain. It's just that the overall rhythm of the film is a bit slow.

It's a good movie, but it's not my favorite subject, and I'm not religious

It's hard to say. The closed-form composition has always been my favorite, and the director has handled it pretty well, but I don’t know why it is annoying. The distance between religion and totalitarianism is a question.
