Extremely overrated

half star. I can't stand this movie being held so high! The character of the detective has no authenticity, and his preaching face is even more disgusting. The movie conveys a so-called "truth" that pretends to be profound through such a long and boring story that has no suspense, no waves, and can't stand up to scrutiny. It is extremely hateful. Don't tell me it's a famous British drama, or tell me how well the actors are doing, how well the scenes are set up, it's supposed to be a storytelling movie, not a 1910 fashion show.

Ben was worried that too many coincidences and astonishing concentration would ruin a play, but when the conversation changed, one unfortunate woman turned into thousands of unfortunate women, and the pattern suddenly opened up. Who hasn't encountered a moment when seeking justice and failing to seek love, a moment when someone was blamed for an unintentional loss? In those moments, we all became Eva. Eva has become a symbol of suffering, and even the name Eva is meaningful.

The unique tension of drama, human nature is always unbearable, how much kindness can morality inspire? Because I can't believe in humans, I believe in God. And God's visit has no effect on the hard-hearted.

An Inspector Calls quotes

  • Arthur Birling: [about his workers] If you don't come down hard on some of these people, they'll soon be asking for the earth.

    Gerald Croft: [obsequiously] That's right.

The Inspector: They might. But it's better to ask for the earth than to take it.

  • [last lines]

Arthur Birling: [hanging up the phone] A girl has died. Suicide. A police inspector is on his way to ask us some questions.
