collision of ideas

Going My Way (1944) - Best Picture at the 17th Academy Awards The

story is similar to "Spring in the Cattle Class", and some people say it is the predecessor of "Nuns Are Crazy", but I haven't seen this one. With the theme of truth, goodness and beauty as the main theme, the film successfully expresses the theme of church innovation. The characters of the three priests and the collision of ideas between them create a lot of comedic interest. It's a warm healing movie, but it's a bit bland.

The story is obviously false, but it is indeed cured. The last scene where the old priest and mother hugged couldn't help but moved to tears. With the irish lullaby humming by the children, it was so beautiful that it made people want to freeze time at this moment. (It is said that when Bing coaxed the old priest to sleep, when he hummed this song gently, it was also very reassuring☺️)~

After seeing many shadows in the film, like a cow herding class, spring, like a nun, is also crazy. After all, it's an old movie, and I can only say it in general. It's good that the protagonist can sing and act.

Father Chuck O'Malley: Oh, yes. Mrs. McGonigle's rheumatism is kicking up again. I told her to bury a potato in the back yard.

Father Chuck O'Malley: That's what she said.

  • Father Chuck O'Malley: Poor young Ted has been wounded in Africa.

    Father Fitzgibbons: Ah, too bad.

Father Chuck O'Malley: They're shipping him home.

Father Fitzgibbons: Fine, upstanding young fellow. Maybe they'll decorate him.

Father Chuck O'Malley: Nnnno, I doubt it. Some friend of his ran over him in a jeep.
