The premise of doing anything is that you are first of all a person, not a "machine"

Such a film can only be appreciated more deeply after experiencing the baptism of work and society. Capitalist egoism is brought to an extreme in just a few dozen minutes. Everyone is trying to make a living, cheat or get out, and the reality is stark and bloody. I thought that there would be a conventional positive and bright ending. However, Levin's mention of his sick daughter failed to impress John, the supervisor. The simple sentence: Because I hate you, the ending is set. There is no emotion between people, only the value of use, depression, and helplessness filled the whole movie. I am used to reading comprehension, and I always hope to interpret something from this movie, but I am speechless. Probably the only thing I can do is to always remember the tremor in my heart, and remember that the premise of doing anything is that I am a person first, not a "machine".

Hey, it's much better than Quentin's several talkative movies...

The script and acting are great. But it is obvious that it is still suitable for the stage. Except for the occasional close-up, the film basically becomes a stage performance. Change the director.

Glengarry Glen Ross quotes

  • Shelley Levene: What the hell are you? You're a fucking secretary. Fuck you! That's my message to ya: fuck you and you can kiss my ass and if you don't like it baby I'm going across the street to Jerry Graff, period! Fuck you!

  • Ricky Roma: They say that it was so hot in the city today, grown men were walking up to cops on street corners begging them to shoot them.
