Large-capacity documentaries

First time writing a movie review. I was amazed by the huge volume and thought-provoking of this documentary.

The documentary was produced in 2015 and 16 when the United States and even the entire Western society turned to the right, and it was public opinion-oriented. From beginning to end, it tells a story about the good reincarnation of heaven. It said to the entire American society, if you don't believe it, look up, who the sky is bypassing.

OJ itself is not difficult to understand. He's a hard-working genius, he wants to do everything perfectly, and he's eager to stay affable and kind. This stubborn pursuit of perfection limits his emotional catharsis, which eventually accumulates into passion crimes and depravity at the end of his life. And the racial issue that OJ has always avoided, inevitably contributed to his tragic fate at every critical moment.

About the trial of the century. In the questioning of witnesses by defense lawyers, the resources of the two sides were extremely unequal, and the defense actually manipulated the jury. The prosecution team made many mistakes and still blamed each other afterwards.
The media, on the other hand, allows American society and the law to run naked. Although it is transparent, it brings the collective climax of society and produces a lot of irrational factors. Of course, this is higher than some media that don't mention it, and I don't know where it goes.
If you want to watch the plot where the good and the evil can't be defeated, you should watch the trial of the century. Rather than closing racial distances, it showed the masses the muscles of the elite and the loopholes in the system.

Highly recommend.

  • [reactions to O.J. Simpson's 33-year sentence after being found guilty for robbery]

Yale Galanter: Listen, I think anybody who is happy that any human being is gonna be stuck in a cage is a horrible person. This is not a happy day for anybody.

Fred Goldman: We're thrilled. It's kind of a bittersweet moment, knowing that that SOB is gonna be in jail for a very long time. And he's gonna be where he belongs, with others of his kind. And he can complain there.

  • [on the jury's decision of guilty in the robbery case]

Marcia Clark - Interviewee: Here's the thing about it. The guns are the thing about it. They put guns to people's heads. Someone could have died there. The legal elements of the case were there. Did the jury hammer him because of the murder trial?

    [long pause]

Marcia Clark - Interviewee: Wouldn't surprise me.
