[BBC selected the top ten comedies in film history] No.10 Movies nearly a hundred years ago. This is my first time watching a silent film from start to finish. The advantage of watching a silent film is that you don’t have to stare at the subtitles to read the lines, and you can focus on the performance of the actors wholeheartedly. But in fact, the actors did not show very exaggerated body movements. The two most impressive episodes, Ge Lei signed up for the army and the housekeeper split letters, and the skillful and funny performances with various movements connected naturally really made people laugh. The film is known as "the best family film, the best classical film, and one of the best comedy films of the silent era". Come with a small burden to catch you by surprise, spraying rice and laughing, yes, I am talking about where the water is sprayed from the water pipe? Many small designs have unique ingenuity. In 1926, when there were no post-production special effects, all the real props and real scenes were performed in a juggling style, adding to the invincible comedy effect. The 31-year-old Buster Keaton wrote and directed it himself, and played a train driver who was obsessed with chasing the train and his lover's contribution to the war. This little man is as thin and strong as an ox. He moves wood and boxes and smashes doors. He jumps up and down as light as a swallow. He sincerely admires his kung fu skills. The "cold-faced comedian" won the 32nd Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 1960.

Compared to Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton pays more attention to the humorous elements of the plot and details. And this film is a well-deserved big scene big production! There are not many people who can shoot a train chase now, not to mention the silent film era. The part of the female pig's feet sweeping the floor and lighting a cigarette deeply touched my laughter!
