This is how Eva walked into my field of vision with a small box and a large paper bag accompanied by hysterical background music, wearing my favorite black.
Willie received a call from her aunt and learned that her unmasked cousin Eva would be staying at his home for ten days, and she was very reluctant.
During these ten days, I couldn't see why Eva was here, most of the time she was sitting or standing smoking. Eva is not only boring, but Willy is also the same. He eats TV meals, wears popular American clothes, and judges himself as "American", and makes a living by gambling with his friend Eddie. The smoking and gambling of the three protagonists are the life additives I hate the most, but their daze and loneliness is a state that almost everyone has.
The three scenes in the film that impressed me the most:
The first one: Eva put on the dress her cousin gave her before leaving, but took it off after going downstairs and threw it into the trash can. She happened to be seen by her cousin's friend Eddie. Eva made no secret of it. said she hated the dress. However, after Eddie went upstairs, when Willie Desser mentioned that he gave Eva a beautiful dress, although Eddie showed a subtle smile, he still chose to remain silent like Eva.
Willie and Eddie are also very good friends, drinking together, but talking only by touching cans.
The second: After Eddie and Willie went to Cleveland to find Eva, the two stepped on the rails covered with thick snow. Eddie was still dazed and bored, so he said the finishing touch to Willie. Pen.
The third is the scene where Eva's friend (I call him Curly) and the other three are watching a movie together. The seating arrangement for four people here is very interesting. Curly obviously has a good impression of Eva, but was placed on the far left. Eddie is between them, and Eva sits between Eddie and Willie. The expressions of the four of them are also very exciting. Curly hair is holding popcorn, and his mind is obviously not on the movie. From time to time, his eyes glance at Eva, but Eddie is watching the movie and giggling. After Curly passed Eddie and handed Eva the popcorn, and rudely grabbed a handful in the bucket, Willie looked impatient. After the movie, Eddie asked Willie in the car, what are we doing here, and Willie said, I don't know.
At the end of the film, the three parted ways dramatically in Florida, Willie got on the plane to Budapest, Eddie watched the plane taking off, leaned on the car and whispered: Willie, why are you flying to Budapest? He drove away, and Eva, who had planned to fly to Budapest, returned to the hotel, but still leaned on the sofa and smoked.
The three boring people are still alone in their own worlds at the end of the day. They are still dazed, lonely, still unable to figure out their own direction. But, so what! It's enough to be able to continue doing innocuous actions within one's own world.
