And Q is half-concealed and refuses to speak properly. I happened to see a more reliable commentary video on the YouTube (already last year), in Japanese and English. So I decided to move + translate it. It's all old stuff, please ignore me if someone has posted something similar before.

In addition, there are two hypotheses mentioned in the video. The first one is quite suspicious, and the second one is more reliable. To save time and effort, I only translate the second one.
1 The ultimate purpose of Ikariyuandu
This is relatively simple. The ultimate goal of Ikariyuandu is to see Yui again. And now (as of the end of "Broken") Yui and Ayanami are left in the first machine.
2 The apostles in the new theatrical version
According to the setting of the new theatrical version, in order to achieve his goal, Ikari Yuandu must first defeat 12 apostles. The intelligence brought by Mary showed that defeating the apostles did not necessarily have to be in order.
The first apostle Kaoru Nagisa and the second apostle Lilith were initially excluded. It is the 4th and 5th Apostles who are defeated in the Preface. There are 8 Apostles left.

3 How did Nagisa Kaoru become the 13th apostle? (Translation Hypothesis 2 only)
The second apostle, Lilith, is the mother of the earth and humanity. The first machine is a replica of Lilith's body, and Ayanami's body is Lilith's soul (if the new theatrical version continues the old TV setting).
So, at the end of "Broken", Ayanami Rei was left in Unit 1, and Unit 1 actually became another Lilith. Call it "pseudo Lilith" for now.
At the end of "Broken", the first machine with Yui and Ayanari awakens and becomes the 11th apostle.
And Ikari Yuandu's plan is to replace Lilith's body with "pseudo Lilith".
In the decisive battle of Q, Lilith's body was destroyed the moment Machine No. 13 drew its gun (the reason is still unknown). This is the moment Ikari Yuandu was waiting for. Now, the first machine (pseudo Lilith) has replaced Lilith's body and has become the second apostle.
Thus, the position of the 11th apostle was vacant. Since there were no other apostles to fill the vacancy, Nagisa was forced to drop from the 1st apostle to the 13th apostle, so he said "the beginning and the end are the same."
4 Why is Nagisa Kaoru called Ikari Yuandu "The King of Li Lin (Human)"?
As mentioned above, Lilith's body disappeared and was replaced by the first unit with Yui and Ayanari. It can be said that Yui is now sitting in the position of the mother (queen) of mankind. Correspondingly, Dingyuandu became the king of Li Lin.
5 How Ikariyuandu intends to achieve its ultimate goal
As mentioned above, the ultimate goal of Yingyuandu is to see Wei. According to the hypothesis just now, only in the first machine that has become the second apostle.
Then, in order to meet Yui, Ikari Yuandu is likely to turn himself into the first apostle, and then merge with the second apostle. (In the old theatrical version, it was the forbidden fusion of the first apostle Adam and the second apostle Lilith that triggered the third shock.) That's why he had to destroy the first apostle Nagisa Kaoru—in order to replace it.

In Q, we will find that "God" is likely to refer to the 13th machine. "Soul" should refer to the soul of Ikari Yuandu. Ikari Yuandu may plan to enter the awakened No. 13 machine by himself, become the first apostle, and merge with the second apostle (pseudo Lilith, the first awakened machine).
6 Subsequent plot guesses
Maria called Ikari Shinji "Seele's insurance". Perhaps, Shinji Ikari will become an obstacle for Ikari Gendu to enter the awakened Unit 13.
