"The Lego Batman" is one of the few outstanding animations from Lego since The Lego Movie. Consistent with all LEGO animated films, Batman focuses on deconstructing and reshaping the copyrighted image held by LEGO. And most of the LEGO movies released directly in North America in videotape format are lackluster in my opinion, because I guess part of the reason is that the serious polishing for the big screen has been lost, and part of it is that the repetitive routines of mass production are boring. That’s why 2013’s 71-minute “LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Superheroes Unite” was a sleep aid movie perfect for playing before bed, one of the rare Highlights will be skipped in a daze.
The best thing about "Lego Batman" is that it is a "Batman movie", its story is more concentrated, and it has a relatively in-depth discussion on the characteristics of the classic character of Batman - loneliness and pride. The roles can be clearly defined, although the plot cannot be complicated, but at least the structure and level of the film are not limited to "qualified" and "decent".
The whole film is self-deprecating, and it is full of entertainment whether it is audio-visual, characters or lines. For someone who only knows a little about DC, I enjoyed the 100+ minutes from start to finish. Every line, every deconstruction, has been carefully designed. We can see that Batman's favorite movie turned out to be "Mr. Sweetheart", the password for the Batcave turned out to be "Iron Man is weak", and we even saw the villains Voldemort and King Kong. Lego can play and play.
The DC villain Joker fell in love with Batman and killed each other, and even the two had a weird "cooperation" at the end. The father-son relationship between orphan Robin and Batman has even risen to the level of warmth. Butler Alfred has a sympathy with Batman, and even the elderly butler wears suits to join the fight during the battle. These scenes that have never been seen in serious DC comics and movies for eight lifetimes are told through Lego's mouth. This makes "Lego Batman" not only a fan animation, but also a macro movie of "deep love" of family, friendship and "enemy". So for DC fans, the movie is full of all kinds of fun, and for ordinary audiences, there are still many simple but touching places.
