My dear old enemy, I am beyond recognition for you

Often it is not our lovers or relatives who shape us, but our enemies.

*[Moonlight is flustered] 1978, 2018 version spoilers

There is an audio of [Moonlight Panicking] circulating on the Internet, which is said to have recorded the audience's reaction to the ending of the film in 1979.

The heroine Laurie was still in shock, but the masked killer stood up silently behind her. Fortunately, the doctor arrived in time.

He snapped a few shots, and Miles the Murderer took a few steps back.

If someone else played this action, it might be a bit contrived, but in the context of an old movie, it has a weird texture.

Coupled with the setting of Miles, it is "Night Demon", which has no soul and stiff movements.

However, the audience in 1979 may not be in the mood to experience this.

They were relieved to see Miles fall off the balcony after taking a few steps back.

finally saved.

But next, the camera moves to the lawn under the balcony——

empty

After a second of silence, there was a desperate scream in the theater. It seems that the murderer who disappeared has flowed into the theater scene.

What's more malicious is that the theme music "Moonlight Light Panic" sounded again at this time.

Weird May 4th beat, like a stalker, like a killer without emotion.

Molecules of Michael Myers wafted into the air throughout the theater, seeping into the screaming crowd.

I only hate that Junsheng and I have not been born, otherwise, in the late 1970s, I would have to travel across the ocean to a dark theater and enjoy the taste of being hunted by Miles once.

After 40 years of fighting, the new version in 2018 [Moonlight Light Panic] is already the 11th in this series.

I thought, there are 11, what new tricks can be played?

Even if it won the box office of 159 million US dollars (about 1.096 billion yuan) at a cost of 10 million US dollars (about 68.85 million yuan) , I still take a cautious attitude.

After all, there are a lot of horror movies that are popular at the North American box office, and there are also many who are too disappointed by their appetites.

But when I saw the same scene, Laurie, who was once hidden in the closet, held a gun and opened a similar closet;

The person who saw that he fell off the balcony and disappeared this time was Laurie and not the murderer——

This time, the Avengers are everywhere in the air

I think this is the best horror movie of the year.

Audiences in the late 1970s will enjoy a fun anti-kill today.

The prey of the past has become the hunter of today.

For forty years, the girl who failed to kill has become the obsession of the murderer. Miles was unaware that he had become the target of being targeted.

And the former victims no longer huddled in the closet crying and trembling, but held the gun and built a cage for beasts with their own hands - much better than the simple wardrobe.

Once a girl, 40 years later became fierce

Polar bears have evolved long necks and small heads to penetrate ice caves and prey on seals.

Seals have also mastered the ability to breathe through small holes in the ice surface, and build small nests to raise cubs and avoid predators.

How fun. They are incompatible, but because of each other, they reinvent themselves.

Miles kills for no reason.

He has no heartbroken past, no mood swings, no motive for murder.

"I don't want the audience to have any empathy for him," said the original director, John Carpenter.

He is a pure murderer.

[Moonlight is flustered] It is also because of this that it can build a monument in the history of horror movies and can be selected for various "most terrifying N movies" again and again.

What it makes people fear is the unprovoked evil, the elusive killing intent, and the fear itself.

In the original, apart from the ending, the most likely cardiac arrest is the long shot at the beginning.

Not just a long shot, but a subjective shot.

In the picture, a pair of hands picked up a knife and staggered upstairs again.

I picked up a mask and put it on halfway through, so the lens only showed holes the size of my eyes.

In this gap, the audience witnessed a killing.

Constantly stabbing, the mechanical icy movement makes people tremble

Holding a long lens is so real, but it is also a murderer's perspective.

When watching the film, not only witnessing bloodshed, but also being imprisoned in a demon's body and committing crimes involuntarily.

What's even more frightening is that the camera staggered downstairs again, and someone called the killer's name: Michael?

The camera finally showed mercy, turned into an omniscient perspective, and released the poor soul of the audience.

But in front of him is a six-year-old child:

Innocent, even like he didn't wake up

But you know, you did kill someone just now through these little hands.

How powerful a hunter should be to make such a monster fall into a trap.

The new version overturns the background of four decades that all the sequels have made up for Miles, and then also uses a long shot to remind people how terrifying this killing machine is.

Today, the subjective lens has been abused by horror films, and director David Gordon Green has instead used a more stable third-person point of view.

But the sense of terror and powerlessness remains undiminished.

In the "Halloween" theme music, he slowly picked up a hammer

The camera turns all the way to other people

Miles being out of the picture for two seconds is even more terrifying.

Then he appeared in front of the door, paused, and walked into the door

The killings all happened off-camera, only the shaking table was seen, and only painful moans were heard

He passed by, letting go of the crying baby. This cry is also played by Laurie, dubbed by Jamie Lee Curtis.

The director said, I don't know why he let the baby go.

You can't even tell if it's his weird morals or just a random killing game.

The camera follows his gaze to an African-American woman

Has he picked his prey again? You are in awe.

But the woman's husband appears and the camera pans back - he changes his mind again.

Turn around and stare at the house in front of you

He is the god of death, who decides the life and death of his target at will.

When he approached the house, the camera didn't move any more, you only saw his shadow, flashing from the right side of the house.

Unwitting woman talking on the phone in the house

The end is doomed--

death comes

You don't know how he got in the house, but the camera is so malicious.

It follows Miles uninterruptedly, and you are supposed to be omniscient, but in a place you don't know, everything has already happened.

That place could be behind the house that the long shot didn't follow, or it could be the human heart that Miles has no reason to speak of.

Laurie was able to capture such a devil because what the audience felt at the end of 1979, she has endured for 40 years.

Curtis talked about the possible scenarios after the original story happened:

I believe Laurie went to school on November 1st. I think she had a bandage on her arm and went to the ER for a few stitches. It was her parents who sent her back to school. Of course, two days ago, she was a student with a reputation for being smart, the kind that would give a graduation speech on behalf of the class. She will leave here and pursue her dream elsewhere. Two days later, she was a freak. Two days later, she walked into the hall, and everyone would say, "Oh my God, that's Laurie Strad, let me go, hi Laurie!"

But what made Curtis decide to take the script was a scene on pages two and three.

Laurie's granddaughter opened the closet door and packed up for school.

Forty years ago, my story ended in that wardrobe. Now, my granddaughter opens her closet and starts her day. I find it beautiful.

This last scene does not appear in the final film.

But I think the wardrobe scene in the movie is more beautiful.

Laurie pointed a gun at the closet

Open the cabinet door and find a dead body

I don't think corpses are beautiful. It's because, 40 years ago, it was Laurie who was in this closet.

panicked

And it was the hand of the murderer who broke open the door.

If you don't believe me, look up and see who the sky is bypassing. The so-called reincarnation of destiny means that time changes, and the little white rabbit also picks up the gun and shoots the big bad wolf.

Curtis knows the role best. She knew how the little white rabbit carried the gun.

Director David wanted to clutter the room to show the trauma Laurie has suffered over the years.

Curtis said no, there will be no leaves of vegetables in her pool, and there will always be a gun beside her bed. She is always ready to meet the murderer.

Because they don't get in the middle of the road. Nothing will stop her.

Her house, cameras, big searchlights, heavily guarded

So in the film, Laurie says, you know what, I pray every night that he can escape so I can kill him with my own hands.

Her house has 100 locks, 800 surveillance cameras, and 1,000 traps.

Just waiting for the prey to throw itself into the net.

03

Curtis arrived in Laurie's room an hour before filming. She wanted to be alone for a while and get to know Laurie again.

She saw a book, Let Us Prey, and let's hunt.

She immediately took a picture and sent it to the producer, saying: This is the promotional slogan of the film.

This is the most magical part of this movie.

It has been 40 years, and people are looking forward to this series [Moonlight Panic], that is, Miles should kill the Quartet.

He may move mechanically and clumsily, sticking down like a pile driver; he may make the murder scene dripping with blood, without the beauty of Hannibal.

But he's a hunter, and wherever he goes, people just scream and crumble. He has a dementor aura about him, and people are overwhelmed with fear whenever they get close.

One Hand Covers the Sky Miles

Who knows, he was also the only missing prey at first and became the one who ended him (so to speak for now).

Once upon a time, Laurie was a girl leaning against a window

Now carrying a gun, eyes resolute

Often it is not our lovers or relatives who shape us, but our enemies.

In [Infernal Affairs] , Liu Jianming and Chen Yongren went undercover in each other's camp and did not know each other's identities.

They searched for each other, tested each other, and wanted to find out the inner ghost, become each other, or be themselves.

Finally, on the rooftop, Liu Jianming said "I want to be a good person".

And Chen Yongren said, "I am a policeman."

"who knows?"

Who you are, the decision on this issue is in each other's hands.

Who is the cat and who is the rat?

They have gradually assimilated each other without knowing it. The mouse wants to catch the mouse, but the cat wants to steal the oil.

They are the coordinates of each other's existence. Only they know each other's true appearance.

[Memories of Murder], the police are crazy to seek the truth and uphold justice.

When he wakes up, he finds himself pointing the gun at a shivering man. And the person he thought was the murderer was actually innocent.

Isn't he a policeman?

Why did he reveal his murderous appearance and almost became a murderer?

In [Chasing Neruda] , the police go after the poet.

The poet did not run too far, he wanted to know what kind of people the police were, and he also left him his own work.

The police read the poet's book, read the decadent world, and became more and more confused about who they were. He was shaken.

Those who sent him to chase after Neruda's money and power were getting farther and farther away from him; his prey was getting closer and closer to him.

He had firmly believed that he was the son of a policeman, but because of Neruda, he became more and more convinced that he was the son of a revolutionist.

Until he fell, he finally believed that he stood with Neruda

In the end, it was Neruda who captured him.

Life is wonderful, hunters and prey are not absolute, they adapt to each other's habits, become the people who know each other best, and then change their hearts.

[Moonlight is flustered], no matter the new version or the original version, Miles wearing a human skin mask is played by several people.

But in the new version, Nick Castle, one of the actors in the original version, was invited.

It's him, cute

He also didn't appear in all the scenes. But there is one, designated by the director, and he must be on it.

It was the first time Miles and Laurie looked at each other in 40 years

At this moment, the prey and the hunter have spanned 40 years, staring at each other, and no one knows who is the one who will really be hunted.

This fateful moment may be the moment when the hunter and the prey begin to battle.

I think Buxing. How cool and calm the first half of the character is, how mentally retarded the second half of the action is (.

Halloween quotes

  • Julian: I saw someone in the hallway, standing outside my door.

    Dave: What's up, buddy?

Julian: There was a fucked-up face, watching me from the dark.

Dave: Ghosts and goblins, little buddy?

Julian: Shut up, Dave! I heard him breathing, and then I saw him. He's in here. Boogeyman's in this house.

Vicky: Okay. All right. Come on, I got you. Let's check it out.

    Julian: Send Dave first.

  • Laurie Strode: Stay here. I've got to finish this.
