From the current point of view, it is a bit rough

I personally believe that the success of this disc lies in the lens design, casting, "impossible mission" elements, and the reversal of the plot. Especially the lens, although sometimes there are some problems with wear and rationality, but it does a great job in setting off the atmosphere.

The suspenseful elements of the plot, high-tech espionage methods, and reversal, these elements undoubtedly touched the audience's refreshing points in 1996, although it seems a bit outdated now.

The roughness I said is mainly the plot logic and some details.

First of all, I have to mention that Jim took the gun and folded his wrist and fired at himself. The shot was so obvious that when I first watched this movie that year, I had already confirmed that the person who shot Jim was the person who shot Jim. He himself, caused the whole movie to be completely without suspense. In fact, Jim exaggeratedly (obviously a bit actively) climbed over the retaining wall and fell into the river, as well as the expression of Jim's excessive force when Jack was caught by the elevator before (but there was a plot just before that. He has control of the elevator) and has already pointed the suspicion of committing the crime at him.

The second is that the only big scene in the whole drama, the helicopter driving in the tunnel in the last scene, is too ridiculous. We say that the plot can be appropriately exaggerated, such as the common planes, the protagonist being blown up by the explosion, the pistol accurately hits the target tens of meters away, etc., but too exaggerated will affect the audience's sense of substitution. Anyone with a bit of common sense knows that driving a helicopter in a tunnel is impossible.

Then there are many problems in the plot logic that affect the perception:

1. Jim was told that Golitsyn was going to steal the list, so he got the list and sold it to Max. He didn't want to think that the CIA already knew that someone wanted to steal the list and would put a real list in the basement? As a spy, you shouldn't be alert to such things, but should be intuitive. Sure enough, the 6 million did not get it.

2. An operation to find the inner ghost, there is no intelligence agent to monitor Jim (otherwise Jim shot himself on the bridge and it would have been exposed), no one knows where Jim is in the hotel, and there is no intelligence agent to monitor the IMF car, What's more, the intelligence agent let Golitsyn and Sarah be killed under the nose. With all due respect, you agents are probably not as good as college students who make a fuss... The same is true when Kittridge let Ethan run under his nose, so many agents around are watching the show... and you must Do you want to tell Ethan the true purpose of tonight's action before you get him...

3. Golitsyn, as a detective, was let Renola stabbed to death in the past. It is a bit weak. Sarah repeats the same method of death, it is a bit unreasonable, especially when there is a railing between them. It stands to reason that such a stabbing is very unreasonable. Easy to operate. When I watched it, I kept complaining about Sarah, isn't it okay to stay a little farther away! In other words, isn't it a good idea to equip Renault with a gun here?

4. Ethan knows that the traitor is in contact with Max, but he is not sure whether Max knows the identity or appearance of the traitor. At the same time, he knows that the fake disk will reveal Max’s location for the CIA to catch her . What choice would you make if you were Ethan at this time: A. Wait for the CIA to catch Max and see if Max can reveal his identity as a traitor, or if the CIA can let Max seduce the traitor to appear. B. I ran to remind Max that the fake disk would allow the CIA to catch him, and let the CIA take a break, so as to gain Max's trust and obtain traitor identity information that Max himself might not know. C. Remind Max to gain Max's trust, and then propose to steal the list of real intelligence agents in exchange for Max to lure the traitor to appear. Obviously A is the best way to do it (╯ ‵ Д ′ )╯︵ ┻━┻ What you can do in BC, CIA can do it, but Max in BC may not give you a good face, in case Max does not kill you , Or the traitor resolutely refused to show up, you really cheated the CIA again, wouldn't it be completely unwashed?

5. The scene of stealing the list. Since someone enters the room, the alarm doesn’t work, so take such a big risk and hang up when no one is there. Just hang it first, and wait for someone to come in and knock it out. If you can’t control it, you can quickly steal the list and retreat NS. The result was hanging for a long time and almost lost because of a drop of sweat.

6. Jim doesn't know that you sent a letter to Kittridge, can you just write it clearly? Just write that Jim is still alive, and Max and Jim are on this train. The watch I gave you will see Jim’s alive face, and my companion is responding, and then attach Max’s photos or sketches. Isn’t it beautiful? ? As a result, the director looked for Max for a long time, and I was anxious to see it.

7. The last scene of the confrontation with a gun was too protracted... It stands to reason that when Jim saw Ethan take out his glasses, he should have realized what was going on and shot directly. As a result, Jim was saved like all villains stupidly. The protagonist died and exposed himself.

Another problem is the line between Claire and Ethan. The film’s original plan was to have a clear relationship between Claire and Ethan and Jim’s triangle, including many hints that Claire and Ethan had a relationship the night before the train, but later de Palma was due to "this setting is related to the whole movie." The film is out of place" and gave up the plot. But after watching the film, I personally feel that this setting is completely mature and feasible, which can plump the character image and add drama and depth to the film. On the train, Jim unabashedly said in front of Claire, "Because I inspected the goods", and had a clear attitude towards Claire. If the plot shows that Claire has long been aware of this, her heart is hurt, and Ethan fell in love with Ethan because of Ethan’s concern for her and her personal charm during the undercover process, and thus hesitated to escape with Jim or help Ethan (that means she is acting as an accomplice To be arrested), and Ethan is also hesitant to have a good impression of Claire. I think there is no problem with this arrangement, and this is the kind of attractive plot. There are many clues in the film, but it is not unfolding and unclear. In the end, Claire's ending is also dead, and there is no dialogue with Ethan, but it makes people feel a little embarrassed.

What a surprise! ? The surprise is that there is Uncle Renault in the original movie~! ! ! ps. It turns out that 007's music is dedicated to spy warfare. . . Mission Impossible is still a long way from 007. . . The main reason is that the style is too unified. In addition to the characters and tasks, the other two movies I watched are too unified and too monotonous.

    Ethan Hunt: Exactly.
