What did "Crash" hit?

1. Race issues What

"Crash" wants to tell people is that the real cause of the various contradictions in this film is not race. Race contradictions are just the most superficial reason and the easiest excuse to find.

You can easily distinguish whites from blacks, maybe Mexicans from Irish, but Americans obviously can’t distinguish between Chinese and Thais. Even if you can tell, please tell me how to distinguish Arabs. People and Persians!

Well, white people must be racially discriminatory, black people must be drug-trafficking and robbery, Irish people must be excessively drunk, Chinese people will definitely open restaurants, Arabs will definitely blow up the White House... It used to be simple to put such a label on, but now we have to deny it. These labels are equally simple, but the reality is not that simple. There are still a considerable number of white people with racial discrimination, 80% of drug dealers are still black, and Chinese restaurants can still be seen everywhere, and most of the suicide bombers are still Arabs... It’s just that those behaviors are related to them. There is nothing to do with your skin color and race.

One morning, the hysterical white woman finally realized that she was so angry that it was not because the black man had robbed her car and changed the lock, and the person with the tattoo on his arm or the servant did not put the dish in the cupboard. She was angry because she was like that. Anger, being so angry every morning, has nothing to do with what happened to her. The audience may be able to imagine where her anger comes from from the ambiguous eyes between her husband and the black female assistant.

The fence is built from the heart. As a senior police officer, the black person should be considered a successful person, but his mother thinks that he betrayed his people. What is she holding on? Does she think that drug trafficking and robbery are the way of life for blacks? With the same background and the same background, the two brothers took completely different paths. But in the eyes of her mother, the one who robbed and died in the street was her good son. I saw such a deep sadness in the eyes of the black police officer. I can imagine how hard he struggled from the tragic situation of the previous generation. I think in the struggle of his life, it is not the white who frustrated him the most. Discriminatory vision, but the contempt of one's own relatives.

2. Human nature issues

"Crash" also wants to tell us that there are many deeds in a person's life, and it is foolish to judge a person's good or bad based on one thing. When something happens, people's choices are not necessarily consistent with their usual performance.

The white policeman who abuses his power to molest black women is undoubtedly a racially discriminatory bastard, but this bastard will also risk his life to save people from a burning car, and whether he is saving a black person does not affect his choice. He applied for a transfer because he witnessed the indecency of his partner, and then used his own force in the conflict to save the almost immediate situation and save the life of the black man who was emotionally reckless. Such a policeman should be a good person, right? But when he was nervous and impulsive to kill a black man by mistake, he chose to abandon the dead body. Perhaps this arrangement is too deliberate, but the conclusion is still something we have to admit.

Many times we believe that we are good people and can stick to our moral bottom line, but when the crisis really comes and the development of things touches our own vital interests and even the safety of our lives, can we still stick to it? Ask yourself, I may not be able to do it.

"You don't know who you are. You think you know, no, you don't know." —Yes, I don't know.

3. The sardines in the tin

"Crash" seems to be more accurate if translated into collision. It starts with a crash and ends with a crash, but the whole story has almost nothing to do with the car accident.

This film can be said to be a propositional composition about race and human nature. It should be regarded as an excellent film. But there are too many coincidences in the film, and it seems too deliberate. It is like the teacher put a lot of teaching aids into the classroom, in order to tell us a conclusion-only love and tolerance can save this conflicting world.

I prefer to believe that the events in the film are isolated, otherwise the people living there would have gone crazy. The film is just a collection of isolated incidents, and they are pushed to the audience in a short period of two hours, so that the people watching the film can't breathe. For nearly two hours in this film, it was filled with various conflicts between different races, filled with sardines in a tin. It is too full, and the sardines are just specimens lacking vitality. I think if there are fewer incidents, you can dig deeper. The current processing is very dramatic and too conceptual and ideal. But of course, it is just an entertainment blockbuster, and it is a good entertainment blockbuster that can shock people. Besides, who has the real answer about race and humanity?

"Crash" successfully broke the Oscar dream of "Brokeback Mountain". I have always wanted to see where this thing is. After reading it, I was shocked, because the height of the two major themes touched by "Crash" is indeed not reached by "Brokeback Mountain", although the depth is still far behind. I always thought that the Oscars would balance it. I wanted to see how it balances "Heaven Now" and "Munich", but when "Crash" was shot, everything was settled. In the way of a conspiracy theorist, think more viciously. If this movie was made to attack Brokeback Mountain at all, then I have to say: Dude, the job is well done!

I haven't watched the movie for a long time. The clues are really great. The little girl's invisibility cloak was moved to death. The ending is a little weird minus one star.
