This film is the fifth episode of the "Star Trek" series, starring the original crew, but directed by William Settner, who plays Captain Kirk, and is also his directorial debut. The story describes a mysterious crazy fantasist Sebruk who has occupied a distant planet, hijacked the interstellar ambassador as a hostage, and forced the Enterprise spacecraft to set off urgently and enter an unknown universe that no one has ever visited to find the legendary God, but Who is God? The opening of the film is quite shocking, but unfortunately it is unsustainable to develop, so that most of the space is in the overly esoteric frame of the story. It can only rely on spectacular visual effects to maintain its appeal. Fortunately, the ending is slightly improved, not making it. The audience was too disappointed.
The Enterprise, which was renovating the base, accepted an urgent task. Captain Cork and his entourage were ordered to the planet Ningbo, which belongs to the neutral zone, to rescue the citizens of Paradise controlled by traitors. The rebels hijacked the Enterprise and went to the center of the galaxy to find the root cause.

This movie is the Homestead Rot series in Star Trek...囧 is a bit too much...but the eternal friendship between the protagonists is what I yearn for

It's good to write this story as a novel, but it can't be made like this in a movie. . .

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier quotes

  • Kirk: [in the hostage tape from Nimbus III, Spock recognizes Sybok] What is it? You look like you've just seen a ghost.

Spock: Perhaps I have, Captain. Perhaps I have.

  • Kirk: [after Spock recognizes Sybok] Who is it he reminds you of?

Spock: There was a young student, exceptionally gifted, possessing a great intelligence. It was assumed that one day he would take his place amongst the great scholars of Vulcan. But he was a revolutionary.

    Kirk: What do you mean?

Spock: The knowledge and experience he sought were forbidden by Vulcan belief.

    Kirk: Forbidden?

Spock: He rejected his logical upbringing and embraced the animal passions of our ancestors.

    Kirk: Why?

Spock: He believed the key to self-knowledge was emotion, not logic.

McCoy: Imagine that. A passionate Vulcan.

Spock: When he encouraged others to follow him, he was banished from Vulcan, never to return.
