Fierce debate

Before watching the film, I simply felt that this is the same as other competitive inspirational films, telling the story of the growth of great debaters. This is indeed a biographical film. It is true, but it focuses more on the black Americans suffered in the early last century. Discrimination and unfair treatment. Even in the face of such a difficult situation, they still persevere in pursuing freedom and equality in a peaceful way. The overall film is still very positive, although the scenes such as the hanging and burning of black children in the grove are shocking; rhythm control It’s pretty good, and the plot is very attractive. I really like the lighting of this movie.

What is missing, I can't say it myself, the protest of black people is very inspiring, but it can't always move me deeply.

When I was a freshman, I was forced to help a friend participate in a debate competition, which made me extremely disgusted with him. Speaking of this film, it is too politically correct and the characters are too thin.

  • Melvin B. Tolson: We're holding tryouts for the debate team.
