The three Indiana Jones from more than 20 years ago can definitely be called a touch of magic. The combination of George Lucas, Spielberg, and Harrison Ford, adventure themes, a doctor of archaeology with extraordinary skills in holding a whip, the secret caves of ancient civilizations and the confrontation of great powers, these factors have created a commercial film Deified. Audiences can find anything they want in the movie. Good box office and the main theme of orthodox entertainment have never matched so wonderfully.
Twenty years have passed, and the 66-year-old Harrison Ford is back in a posture that is no longer vigorous. Although we all know the golden rule that "lone heroes can't die", it cannot be denied that there was still a little disappointment at the end of the film. Spielberg seems to have done his best to break through the past. We saw that Dr. Jones, who was able to dodge bullets, can now dodge the atomic bomb. The role of the old man who had always appeared has become a son like Marlon Brando. The evil German fascist became the Soviet KGB, and of course the originally gloomy and humid temple finally became the common favorite of Spielberg and Lucas-flying saucer. But these changes seem to be so pale now, just like the ending music, even with heavy bass, it is still Indiana Jones, it can't be Mission Impossible. Thirty years ago, seeing the invincible protagonist in the mysterious world pass through the ranks, seeking the final answer will make us excited, and 30 years later, after watching Tomb Raider, Lord of the Rings and The Matrix, the picture quality is even better. Excellent, more realistic sequel but looks as old-fashioned as his protagonist. As a commercial entertainment film, it is naturally a pass; but if it is a member of the once great Indiana Jones series, it may not be able to reach the height of its predecessors today.
Stallone finally went home in Rambo IV. Maybe it's time for Dr. Jones and Spielberg to take a break.
