After the absurdity of God's existence is the absurdity of God's nonexistence, a feeling of nowhere to be a home.

"Nowhere for Home": Cut through the absurd razor

Text: Empty words are clear

"Nowhere is Home" is a black humorous story about a few people whose feelings of home are weak to invisible. The characters in it are almost all weak, even the strong who kills and overruns are also weak, but in order to survive insignificantly, the weak need to appear strong, just like the male protagonist, just like those kidnappers. Their existence collided and bleeds...

The heroine is a nurse who has seen many deaths and leads a life of ethics. During the day, a patient died after speaking a lot of swear words, but that didn't matter. When the heroine tells a bedtime story to a little girl at night, she is telling the universe picture planned by modern astronomy: celestial bodies are made of inanimate matter, come from the ruins of space, and will eventually become space ruins; no one knows How big is the universe and where did the universe begin. This is not an interesting bedtime story. An interesting bedtime story should be a fairy tale and fantasy full of human elements. There, there are elves and beliefs, people are meaning, and people are the world. The little girl hadn't said how boring the story was, but the heroine burst into tears. She realized that in that kind of cosmology, everything came from chaos to chaos. People are just a bunch of carbohydrates plus a bunch of different kinds of elements. How small a person is, a fleeting stardust. A deliberate life is an absurd life, how can it not make people cry.

When the heroine and the enthusiastic actor's neighbors retrieved the stolen computer by location tracking, she knew that the person who actually stolen her computer had not been found. So she collected the traces of the suspect and asked the detectives to help catch the criminal. However, the detective who had read the evidence she provided was disdainful of her request and used the "Occam's Razor Principle" to refute the heroine's argument. The detective felt that the "Occam's Razor Principle" meant a straightforward and simple explanation. The explanation involving the fewest participants was a reasonable explanation, and no other explanations should be envisaged. In this theft case, the person who locates and finds her computer is the criminal. It should not be assumed that someone else steals her computer, sells it to a stolen merchant, and then sells it to the targeted person. Therefore, according to this razor principle, the heroine's explanation only adds unnecessary participants, and should be treated as an absurd explanation and eliminated.

For those of us who have witnessed the whole process, this police detective's view is obviously absurd, and many unjust, false and wrong cases will be generated for this reason. But what about those who have not witnessed the whole process? Absurdity may be accepted. The detective obviously misused the "Occam's Razor Principle".

This razor is actually a tool to "kill" God. Since an atheistic universe can be fully explained, since God as the creator of the universe does not affect the development of the universe, there is no need to retain God. Nowadays, the illusion about the existence of God has become absurd.

However, after the absurdity of God's existence is the absurdity of God's nonexistence, a feeling of nowhere to be a home. The size of the universe is just an endless urn. The razor that cuts through the absurd is also an absurd tool. How can it not make people cry.

It has the characteristics of a Sundance award-winning film, it is down-to-earth, and it is very interesting and refreshing. Many characters are too interesting. The action scenes are also funny and unexpected. I like them very much.

From the very beginning, the rhythm is very good and the plot is compact, especially recommended for entertainment. . . Only the last 5 minutes of the whole film collapsed

  • [first lines]

Mrs. Hamble: [watching news report about a riot from her hospital bed] Just look at those goddamn monkeys.

Ruth: Why don't we turn this off, huh?

Mrs. Hamble: The way they shoved this country right down the fuckin' stinker. Keep your gigantic monkey dick out of my good pussy.

    [then breathes her last]

Mrs. Hamble's Son: [a short time later her doctor] Did...? Did she have any last words?

ER Doctor: [looks over to Ruth]

  • Ruth: Patient died today. I was in the room.

Angie: Oh. She was special, huh?

Ruth: No. She sucked. Oh, yeah. She was a real shithead. But it doesn't matter. They'll roll her out... and she'll become smoke. Just... carbon. My grandma Sally, that was her silver that they stole, you know?

    Angie: Yeah.

Ruth: She literally breathed life into people who'd been exploded. She was a war nurse.

    Angie: Yeah, I remember.

Ruth: Spent her retirement bringing dinner to folks with cancer. And then she had a stroke... and she was just... just carbon too. And now I'm the only one who remembers any of that, and pretty soon... I'll just be carbon. So none of it matters.
