Life and death

The narrative technique of this film makes me naturally think of "Rashomon". An event is said to be changed from several different mouths into several different stories. These stories seem to be the same but contradict each other. Whether or not the final truth is understood by people, it is always there, and it will never change. It’s so rare that I found a touching movie. It taught me: Sometimes, overcoming difficulties is not the most important thing. Whether you can bravely face and endure the painful reality is the decision. The threshold of whether a person grows up or not. ——"Life and Death"

[grabbing a recruit leaving an obstacle]
Monfriez: Just what the fuck do you think you're doing, soldier? Where are your men?
Recruit: Right there, sir!
Monfriez: Yeah? What do you call that?
[gestures to one man who still hasn't made it through the obstacle]
Monfriez: You see that man? You and he are brothers! He depends on you! You depend on him! You *never* leave a man behind!
