Hart's sacrifice

This film needs to be labeled "World War II", "Concentration Camp", "Racial Discrimination", and "Prison Break". However, unexpectedly, the film is a literary drama. There are almost no scenes of action shootouts. Hart cooperated with Colonel Mcramara's escape in the Nazi concentration camp. I believe the colonel wanted to sacrifice the black second lieutenant Scott at first. But inspired by Hart's sacrifice of himself, the colonel finally decided to sacrifice himself and protect all his comrades after completing the task of blasting the German arsenal. Hart, Scout, and the colonel used their own deeds to interpret the honor, responsibility, and sacrifice of soldiers.

Your war will never end. With a unique perspective of war and a perfect story background, the original expectation was an in-depth discussion of human nature, but it turned out to be too long to lay out the narrative without leaving any deep imprint. There are too many logical omissions and endless plots, which make the plot very scattered. I have never seen such a gentle German army.

I'm heartbroken, idiot Hart! Pig brain!

Hart's War quotes

  • Col. Werner Visser: Strange thing about war wounds- the older you get, the less proud of them you become.

  • [Lt. Hart offers condolences upon learning that Col. Visser's own son was killed in action on the Russian Front]

Col. Werner Visser: I killed my share of French and English in the last war; All of *them* had fathers.
