Certain scenes are really shocking, but apart from that, I didn't see anything awesome. It was this guy's ability to control emotions that surprised me. Seeing his own son who was half-dead by the Nazis (I seriously doubt it) was smothered to death again, and he didn't even shed any tears. After the son died, he ignored the life and death of himself and his companions all day long. He risked the danger to find some Jewish priest to bury his son. What's the use of those who are dead? Can you save your dead son? This guy is a black sheep of formalism. I can't understand this movie, I don't know what it means. "Schindler's List", "The Pianist", "Black Book"... are all good movies. This is a purely pretending movie, with a 4:3 ratio. Do you want to go against the times or what? Why don't you shoot it with black and white film?
