The real mermaid

I have seen many versions of mermaid stories, from the original Andersen fairy tales to adaptations such as "Miss Mermaid". Only the story told by this movie surprised me the most.

For several years, I have always remembered a scene: In order to please the sweetheart, the innocent mermaid sold her precious necklace and bought a white marble fountain that couldn't fit in the apartment. The handsome boy played by Tom Hanks stared at the fountain at a loss, told the mermaid that he liked it, and sent a few kisses.

In my impression, there is no mermaid lady who is as American as her, able to live with her sweetheart without restraint, and there is no one who is so in love with her that she still falls in love after falling into the hands of stupid scientists. Forget her prince. She encountered everything a fairy tale protagonist would encounter in the real world, but she unexpectedly got the coveted fairy tale ending: her prince finally determined to him and returned to the underwater world with her, "to live happily forever." I watched this film because of the influence of the Korean drama "Legend of the Blue Sea". I wanted to see what mermaid works in other countries would look like, so I revisited this time-honored work. The hero and heroine who became acquainted with him when he was young, the fate is wonderful, very romantic and funny.
