Flight 93

Five years after 9/11, we saw several movies reflecting 9/11 on the big screen. Oliver Stone's "World Trade Center", and this Paul Greengrass "Flight 93".

In fact, about Flight 93, after 5 years, no one should not know her story. On the other hand, 911 is still a painful subject, and every second of the World Trade Building’s appearance on the screen has to be pondered over and over again.

Therefore, neither "World Trade Center" nor "Flight 93" attempted to reproduce the image of the collapse of the World Trade Center Twin Towers, and they even avoided direct presentation of this plot. "World Trade Center" always tells the two survivors buried under the building, their dialogue and their pain.

The theme of "Flight 93" is more direct, and her protagonist is the victim of the 9/11 incident. However, the perspective of "Flight 93" is much calmer and quieter. Maybe "World Trade Center" makes many people cry, but "Flight 93" makes people silent. But perhaps this silence is deeper.

"Flight 93" does not try to directly express the director's thoughts. On the contrary, she did not say anything. She just stood by and did not exaggerate or evade.

After watching the many character group dramas, I can't name a few people after watching it. The filming method of the movie, handheld photography, no special effects, no rendering, also makes this movie look very much like a documentary, and it is a documentary that is very far away. However, this gives the audience more room for thinking. I like this approach. In contrast, I hate the practice of pouring my own views into the minds of the audience like Fahrenheit 9/11. Although the latter is a true documentary.

"Flight 93" shows us a real world. There are no terrorists to promote political views, and there is no Bao Xiaoqiang and CTU. In the face of tremendous changes, everyone is a mortal, and the world is driven by mortals.

We will hesitate and be afraid when we see terrorists. We see them chanting scriptures and praying for God's help.

And when the disaster happened, the huge state apparatus was in chaos, almost paralyzed. Numerous organizations work independently, and conflicting news spreads among the various parts. However, no one can prevent the disaster, and no one even knows how to prevent it. The military learned of the hijacking of Flight 93 only after the crash of Flight 93.

So the people on Flight 93 can only save themselves. There is no hero, only the courage of mortals. We all know how the people on the flight made the last call to their loved ones. They said, "I love you" and "Please tell my family I love them."

Then they pounced on the terrorists. If it is 007, then the terrorist will be subdued, and a certain instrument panel of the plane will stop at the 007 number. If it is 24 hours, the plane will eventually land on the highway. However, this was in the real world, no matter how hard they tried, the plane fell to the ground, and the screen was dark.

"Flight 93" is just a record, leaving thinking to the audience, a very clever approach.

In addition, this "Flight 93" is "United 93", and there is a "Flight 93" with the same theme. If you look at "Flight 93" by comparison, it is easier to know where "United 93" is good.

IMDB scored 7.9 (17665 people voted), I scored 8.

Handheld pseudo-records, semi-fictional self-made stories. Flight 93 is the best perspective for a "drama film" that tells the story of 9/11 in this way. Conflict from beginning to end, the emphasis is on religious conflict. Would have said it was "morally correct from the standpoint of human nature" - but think otherwise.

In the end, everyone just wanna say to his or her beloved "I love you more than anything in the world"
