a GOOD year, A good year

Max Skinner is a businessman, so profitability is not a disadvantage for him. At the beginning of the film, when he was a child, he showed the potential to be unscrupulous in order to win. Of course, the future of such a person is boundless.
If Max is a supporting role, he may be shown more shamelessly, just like Kenny (this guy was killed by Max in the end.) But if he is the protagonist, then there is room for him to correct evil, so we see that he does not curse others. Thought it would even be surprised by praise. Max doesn't mind people calling him an asshole because he knows he is an asshole. As people say, people who think they are selfish are often not so selfish, so Max doesn't seem to be that bastard either.
Max, who lost his parents since he was a child, is the closest person to Uncle Henry. And when he knew the news of his uncle's death and was indifferent, or even unwilling to go, it was not ruthless, just inertia. Because it is working time, because he is in London.
The scenery in France is very good, and French women are very artistic. Marion Cotillard is not beautiful enough to surprise me, but it tastes very French.
The feeling in Provence is very good, maybe it has something to do with the pace of the film, it's easy and freehand. Max found himself in the place of innocent memory.
The film doesn't have too much plot, some just have a relaxed atmosphere, and it feels very comfortable. But in fact, at the end of the film, Charlie is right. There is no good or bad life, only suitable or not. Max likes Provence because there is a memorable past and rare relaxation, and of course beautiful women. But his life is not like this. Would a person who is at the peak of his career feel at ease in the country for the elderly? This does not seem to be very good for his increasingly bloated figure. What are you going to do, write a book? Charlie’s question makes Max unable to answer, he can only say We'll see about that. Yes, We'll see about that. But what kind of result will it be, who knows Woolen cloth.

A French woman riding a bicycle in the vineyards of Provence on a summer afternoon. The lazy harmony and silent warmth throughout the article make me a healing department. There is also a commendable OST.

A Good Year quotes

  • Francis Duflot: [Bringing out a special bottle of wine] C'est "Le Coin Perdu"... it's a local vin de garage.

Max Skinner: [confused] "Vin de garage"?

Christie Roberts: It's a "garage wine." Like a boutique wine. Small vineyards, small productions - *seriously* big prices.

    Francis Duflot: [dismissively] It's overrated.

Christie Roberts: It didn't say that on the Web. Turns out "Le Coin Perdu" is a Provencal legend. It changes hands among collectors, but nobody knows who makes it.

  • Francis Duflot: In California, they don't make wine, they make Hawaiian Punch.

Christie Roberts: Mondavi might argue with that one.
