Doomsday classics

One day you wake up

I found myself in the hospital with no one around.

Unreachable, deserted city...

You walked alone for a long time...

Finally arrived at a place where someone exists...

Only to find...

There are zombies everywhere.

Every time I watch this doomsday series, I will never forget the beginning. The picture is beautiful, barren, vicissitudes of life, and loneliness. The male protagonist walks in a deserted London somehow.

Then suddenly discovered the cruel truth.

This work emphasizes not the horror of chasing your zombies, but the horror of people. From the beginning of the movie, the animal protection group that released the infected orangutan, to the male lead and a group of people seeking the protection of the army, found that it was even colder. Reality and despair are the reasons why I like this work.

The focus is on human nature, and the manifestation of human nature at the end of the day.

Looking again, I realized that I didn't realize that the male lead was the scarecrow in Batman, and he was really an interesting actor.

The general plot with special effects is okay, right?

When mankind is faced with crises and choices, there are often some unexpected actions, but in any case, there is always hope. The turning point of the military is undoubtedly a highlight of this play. Maybe if the final ending is not so perfect and bright, it may be more enlightening.

  • [Major Henry West introduces Jim to the infected Mailer]

Major Henry West: And lastly, meet Mailer.

Major Henry West: [Mailer dashes at Jim from behind the hanging sheets] Mailer, Jim. Jim, Mailer. Got infected two days ago. Mitchell managed to knock him out cold, and we got a chain around his neck.

    Jim: You're keeping him alive?

Major Henry West: The idea was to learn something about infection. Have him teach me.

    Jim: And is he?

Major Henry West: In a way. He's telling me he'll never bake bread, farm crops, raise livestock. He's telling me he's futureless. And eventually he'll tell me how long the infected take to starve to death.
