Daru killed a stranger for a murderer, Mohammad, whose brother stole his food and killed his brother. Although the murderer had a good nature, he did not want his brothers to retaliate, so he went to Tangit to be tried by the French. On the way, they were caught by the Algerian rebels. The French army came again to destroy the rebels and let them go. Daru also asked Mohammed to go to prostitutes, and he also went to prostitutes. Daru told Muhammad to escape and would tell his brother that he was executed at the police station, but Muhammad said Daru would also be pursued by the police. Mohammed finally chose to escape, and Daru was leaving after giving the children his last lesson.
