Bassolini love

After tossing for nearly two hours, I finished watching "A Thousand and One Nights" by Italian director Bassolini. I was glad I didn't watch "One Hundred and Twenty Days of Sodom". Jedi said that when he went to the film festival , I feel nauseated and want to vomit. A coward like me only dares to buy this book and read it once or twice, and then give it to my Chinese student.

The Chinese DVD cover is very beautiful, but it has nothing to do with the actors in it. The actors in it are obviously black Italian blacks and Italian teenagers, obviously those guys look like the concubines of Bassolini's harem (case: he is gay~), this film is from start to finish. A movie that mixes tears with laughter can be tiring.

Originally I thought this movie would be full of rude sex, and the bloody violence marked on the DVD box. In fact, the so-called sex is nothing more than two young people stripping naked, at most the female top half, the male has no nudity at all, Then laughing and falling to the other body, it is finished; and the violent scene is to use a real knife through the body of a pigeon, or chop off the hands of the princess who is carrying the devil and the prince, The blood spurted fake.

It's not so much a movie that's faithful to the book that it's more about stripping those young people. In one of them, the filming location looks a lot like Khmer, and the king's son in that story has an Italian face, which really makes me wonder why it was filmed this way.

Especially when I saw the devil who caught the adulterer flying around the sky with the adulterer prince in his arms, frightening the prince to death, that part was so Kuso, I couldn't help laughing, according to the filming technology of that era, whoever is now It could be seen that they were just hung up on the set.

One Thousand and One Nights has a strong Arabian flavor, and the scenic spots were actually filmed in deserts and dusty cities in the sand. Bassolini's cast looks pretty good, although it's less aesthetic than "O Mother" A little bit, the boy's crying face is also a little funny, but for a boy, the ending is simply happy.

Basically I don't understand this movie very well, because its narrative style is very messy, one story after another is randomly connected, just like the real "One Thousand and One Nights", the king's sons and daughters are everywhere.

I don't know what the true story of One Thousand and One Nights is, but Pasolini must have had an idea

Gods talk + phallic worship. The desert is barren, the environment is harsh, the materials are scarce, the population is sparse, and the competition for survival is fierce → the theme of the Arabian fairy tale → woman, wealth, and throne. And the fairy tales "grabbing from the baby" are the ultimate weapon to poison or educate the people...
