The theme of the movie is the reflection of little people going through a big age to old age. Soon after watching it, I remembered the same type of golden rooster, the last emperor and the living. Compared with the frivolity of the golden rooster, the oriental wonders after the last emperor, the waiter recalled this movie more than To live profoundly. Perhaps it should not be compared like this, but should be compared to the Romanian film 8 pm east of Bucharest and the lonely army, which was released at the last year’s film festival. Like cloth films, big history is not necessarily good for small people. It doesn't matter if the people on the top line of the gang line up the revolution, go to the front line, whether the little people are real people or not, what matters is how this generation faces the past history and how to reorganize their memories. The truth is the hardest to face, how to face the nation- The history of the country, and even its own history, is the most important. In the film, which travels from the 1920s and 1930s to the communist years after World War II, there is no blood and tear history controlling every scene, but it penetrates a little bit in the great absurdity of the country's history. Laughter, easy to face. Occasionally one or two self-deprecating laughs, as well as the absurd ups and downs of the protagonist's life, even for Germany, the war is replaced by scenes of nonsense plot jokes. After laughing, the cause is profound Meditation: Why can others reflect on themselves? Can they make fun of their own history? Can they “rewrite” history with sarcasm? History, how much does it matter? In the film, gender and mirrors are constantly put together, and there are different metaphors. The only sentence I most impressed is the protagonist holding a mirror and saying to others "seeing myself is enough", and the last few words. The protagonist examines his own past from the mirrors in all directions. He examines himself and faces history sincerely, or the most difficult one is to let go before he can be at ease. After the scene, he has to clap his hands, perhaps the history of Chinese workers’ blood and tears can be relaxed. Let’s face it, the Chinese are too heavy and tragic.
