Do you want to live in Queqi Township or Candle Township?

Finally came across one of my favorite TV series, and it is one of my favorites. Although the Atlantic Empire and Game of Thrones are good-looking and exciting, and shameless people are also very cool to watch, but no matter what, they can't compare to Qiqixiang to Candle Town.

I also wondered why I liked this country drama the most. It was all about the little things in the countryside of Chen Zhi’s rotten millet. I went to deliver letters in the morning, go for a walk in the fields at noon, and go back to the village to visit my parents in the afternoon. Come back and have afternoon tea with Miss Lane at the post office, write a diary and read a book at night. Holy crap, this is my dream life!

My passion for the countryside came from playing too many pasture stories in junior high school. The Friends of Mineral Town was the version I played the longest. Later, although the market of the wind and the twin villages were much more refined, they were far less interesting. At that time, my dream was to go back to the countryside to raise chickens and grow vegetables. . . In my mind, farm life is just that rich and happy! Until I went to the real country, the home of my grandparents. This dream was shattered.

But that certainly doesn't interrupt my yearning for it, so as soon as I saw the show, I totally gave in to it. The resources with Chinese characters on the Internet are only translated by the tattered bear subtitles group, and the image quality is not clear even when the image is reduced. There are relatively clear DVD formats on the foreign network, but there are no subtitles at all. The English subtitles of the entire 40 episodes were obtained by using all my subtitle-digging abilities. This includes modifying the spelling of the subtitles and adding some missing words. This shows the love for it. In fact, I planned to listen to it without reading the subtitles, but it turned out that the British country accent was really...especially the old grandmother and grandpa who seemed to be speaking with a big mouthful of water.

The whole drama gives me the feeling that it is very beautiful, whether it is the houses in Candle Town or the grass outside the countryside, they are as beautiful as oil paintings. The leisurely life of Candle Town residents is even more enviable. In contrast, people from Queqixiang often have to worry about how to get food. Although Queqi Township is poor, I have never seen that they really have no food to eat, so it can be said that life is very happy.

The most catchy in terms of love is Miss Lane and Sir Timothy. The forbearance in their eyes when they look at each other and the slightest feelings revealed in the dialogue make me curious about the poignant love story between them. Miss Lane can be said to be my favorite woman on the screen so far. Although she is forty years old and still relatively short with eye lines, this is the charm of character and wisdom. On the contrary, I have no interest in the feelings of the heroine Laura.

My only dissatisfaction is that this drama only has four seasons and forty episodes, and it can obviously go on indefinitely.
