"Grasp the time, grasp the direction" is like a prophecy. In the film, time passes year after year. After the person in the scorching sun ends his life, no one walks out of the shadows of the past. Victory. Everyone's life has been "off the rails" and can't go back to the beginning. The jump that was deliberately omitted was a huge impact from real life, and the director lightly covered it with a white cloth, thus preserving the peaceful and calm narrative style of the whole film. The younger brother didn't tell the family that his girlfriend was pregnant, the mother didn't tell the younger brother that the girlfriend's family came to the door, the elder brother went to see the younger brother twice and didn't say what was in his heart, after all, the elder brother's girlfriend failed to express her love, and Xiaoyu was only just facing her young husband. Tears were silent, and the father had no communication with his wife and two sons, nor even the desire to try to communicate. People in the shadows yearn for sunshine, people under the scorching sun seek shadows, there is no way to reconcile life with others, the bridge of communication is broken, and everyone has become an island. In this way, no matter how to "grasp the time and control the direction", it is only in the dark. Turn off the lights and go forward, you will never encounter that umbrella in the heavy rain. The story as a whole is good, but some details are a little deliberate if the technique of ignoring the jump is used as a background (such as the father sending the book year after year, repeating the eight characters continuously, Sima Guang's animation, etc.). Lin Shengxiang's music is well done. Four and a half stars.
