I just watched this movie tonight, and the general feeling is that my brain is wide open. The appearance of various monsters in a row, as if back to the time when I used to read the novel "Goosebumps". But for some reason, its reputation is still very poor, even the score is so low, only 6.3 points!
So why is this, I think it is the following:
1. The plot is too bloody.
2. The plot is too simple.
3. The characterization is not detailed enough, but rather rough, which makes people feel a little uncomfortable.
4. This film is too naive...
If you want to watch this movie, don't watch it with high expectations, it's best to watch it as an entertainment movie. Anyway, this movie can only look at monster special effects, and there is nothing else to look at!
I wonder if the second part will be better?
