There is something new to learn every day. So he took the dictionary, I think, to show that he was finally confident that he could face life with his own mind and understanding of life, and not be tempted and manipulated like he used to be, and not get caught up in infatuation like he used to be. Blindly, he can learn new things on his own. In addition, the fixed knowledge that the school wants to impart is in the dictionary, and about moral education, Sidi has completely understood that he no longer needs a school.
