Lust, money, fear-an epic interpretation of love

Love is a kind of faith.

After "God is dead", there is nothing that can bear the soul experience of this era of collapse of faith. The pursuit of the spirit is constantly swaying with the self's greed and fear, and the temptation of material and the suppression of power make the self become at a loss. Violence and gentleness in people’s hearts are constantly intertwined, and only love can guide people out of the darkness of themselves, break the shackles of power, and find a ray of light.

However, love is fragile. When the fear in my heart struck lust head-on, when the self's greed continued to materialize, love instantly collapsed, power stretched out her gentle arms, tightly hugged you, and suffocated you.

"This whole world wild at heart and weird on top" is the theme described in this movie.

The phenomenon is constantly changing, and people are constantly lost in these absurd dramas, just like the audience of this movie.

In terms of the overall narrative structure, the film still adopts a classic structure. The protagonists are Thaler and Lula, and the other characters are extensions of these two protagonists. They appear not because of the needs of a certain story, but to improve the characteristics of the protagonist. Just as Don Juan's servant is to perfect Don Juan's extreme sensuality (or lust), Don Quixote's servant is to perfect his bravery and simplicity.

This key figure is called Bobby in the movie. As soon as he appeared, the atmosphere of the movie changed from hideous and horrible to grotesque.

In the section where he seduce Lula, Lula saw her inside, her lust wrapped in fear. Fear is like a catalyst for lust, allowing self to disappear under the hideous expression of fear, and lust will spew up like spring water. The shadow of the teenager deepens the experience of fear, and memories travel back to the source of that fear, where lust and fear conquer the self at the same time. Thus, fear acts as a catalyst to make lust grow as tall as a flame, leaving black scorched earth and tears of self-hatred in the place where the flame has burned.

He lured Seiler toward the taste of money, and under the temptation of greed, "easy money" became the direction of the soul, and it directed Seiler's soul toward the direction of alienated happiness. Love is defeated by greed at this moment, and the ego falls into a dark trap in a hesitation at a loss. The violence in Seiler's heart was awakened, and his roar broke out, and it quickly occupied his ego like a match burning.

The violence in the depths of the self is expressed in blood at the beginning of the film. Thaler's crazy movements, the blood all over the floor and the slight smile on his mouth all became pictures showing the evils of the bottom of human nature.

Lula's mother is a symbol of self-seeking power and control. The ego ignited the flames of self-destruction because of lust, changing the power like a prostitute, in order to achieve her desire to control everything. Those in power who were rejected by her were either swallowed by her with flames, or were suicided by the horrors of power. And power, isn't that exactly the case? Always accompanied by lewdness. Even his own horror is like a roar of desire and hunger.

However, this is not the fundamental theme of the film. This film, which undoubtedly writes the myth of love, ultimately expresses the sublime divinity of love like "True Love is invincible".

We worship love, singing is the mass of faith in love; flowers are the sacrament cup of God of love; and sex is the sweetest wine in the sacrament.

All of this is constantly appearing in the movies, but the flowers have become the dazzling red lips in the 1980s.

And after many obstacles of power and self-lost, the wildness of the heart is also lost in the labyrinth of phenomena. When Thaler faced the fruits of his love, he felt strange, and there was no way to pick up the seemingly burnt love again.

But when he returned to his true self, the fairy in his heart once again ignited the wild spark in his heart, rediscovered the belief in the beauty of love, and returned to the eternal paradise of happiness.

Because of the divinity and eternity of love, power has tore off the beautiful devil mask (it is incredibly old in just 6 years), and turned into desperate dust in the burning flame of love.

This film about the divinity of love is worthy of Lynch's greatest title.

People who don't like this movie, sorry, this movie is epic.

"The scales on your body make you look like a clown" "This is my snakeskin jacket, it represents my personality" "I apologize to you, I shouldn't call you gay, and I also want to thank you, you Gave me an important lesson in life" I love the ridiculous but meaningful lines in it so much!

People from all walks of life are coquettish and mad, and this heroine who can only cry and scream can't even get in with the actress team.
