Severus' testimony

10 years. A full 10 years of waiting. The finale ends today.

The Harry Potter movie is finally over. There is no more anxious waiting, endless hope.

Can't remember when I got hooked on Harry Potter. Those first four books made me read many times. I always thought, when will it end, when will Harry marry Hermione? Then came the movie storm, which, literally, took the world by storm.

From 2001 to 2011, I have witnessed you in these ten years, and you have accompanied me.

Ten years is a long time for people, but it doesn't seem like that long for a movie at all.

I didn't know you ten years ago, you don't belong to me. But from now on you will be my memory.

Uh, I originally wanted to say a few words about today's afterthought, why is there so much talk about it... Uh, okay. Last but not least, a bad word. Severus you win. You ranked first in my tragic hero without hesitation, surpassing Lu Licheng. Congrats~~

Closer to home.

This time, let me just say Severus. Yes, Severus. I love you. Respect you.

From beginning to end, all the halo surrounds the protagonist. There are various topics of positive and negative characters. And you are the silent one. Positive characters cast aside you, calling you a traitor, Voldemort's lackey. The villains despise you and laugh at you for betraying Voldemort when he was silent.

However, no one knows that you are actually playing Infernal Affairs. You both deliver information about the Order of the Phoenix for Voldemort and covertly protect Harry.

You are a collection of contradictions. You hate James, reject Harry, and love Lily deeply. You don't hesitate to pass on your love for Lily to Harry. I think Dumbledore took advantage of that.

I think you deserve to be the second protagonist in the Harry Potter series.

Before Ha 7's book came out, I always imagined your ending. Harry finds out that you are a good man, and you work together to defeat Voldemort. Or maybe you fought Voldemort to protect Harry, Harry discovered your secret before you died, and you both forgive each other. Or, in order to help Harry, you fought a heroic duel with Voldemort and died in a glorious battle. However, you died so quietly. Makes me feel so unfair, like Sirius.

In the movie, you meet Harry before you die, and the affectionate look after saying "look at me". Do you think he is Lily? Yes, because you said: eyes really look like your mother.

Your tears flowed down and you begged, "Go on with it, please." Yes, your tears carry too many of your secrets. How can you, who are proficient in Occlumency, let others peep into your heart? You won't tell anyone you love Lily, you love her crazy! But you don't want your memory to disappear, it not only needs to pass important information to Harry, but also needs to always remind others to tell others that you are not a traitor, you are qualified to love Lily.

When Harry got your memory, he knew. He was wrong. But he also missed it.

When I saw the memory, Dumbledore asked you in surprise: Do you still love Lily? You said: forever. Yes, forever. Your firm expression moved me. When you see Lily dying under Voldemort's wand to protect Harry, you cry heart-to-heart with her. Your pained look makes me... well, I admit I really cried seeing this.

From Ha 1 to 4, I have always disliked you. Your greasy hair, non-smiling face, sarcastic tone, and mean attitude once made me think that Rowling created you as a lackey and a sloppy character. . By 5 and 6, I think you are pathetic, your classmates and colleagues at Hogwarts don't like you very much, and Voldemort's followers are cynical about you. James and friends bully you, and Lily doesn't like you either. But you still listened to Dumbledore, still scorned Harry's gang on the surface, and secretly helped the Order of the Phoenix and Harry. By 7, I completely changed my mind. You are truly a tragic figure, Severus. You love Lily until she's dead, and you're dead too. You help Jamie Lily, you help Harry, but who knows except Albus? You have no friends, you are ostracized. But you have no hesitation.

I suddenly feel that words are too pale to fully describe how I feel about you. Are real heroes like this? So lonely, so ignorant?

At the end of the movie, Harry sent the child to Hogwarts train station, and the child said worriedly: Dad, what if I was assigned to Slytherin? Harry said: Albus Severus Potter, you have two Hogwarts greats in your name, one of them from Slytherin. He is the bravest man I have ever known.

Yes, I guess that's what people are saying about you.

They won't forget you. The bravest man, the pride of Hogwarts - Professor Severus Snape.

And so do I, salute to the bravest of men - Mr. Severus Snape.

This is my testimony to you. About love, about bravery, about commitment, about all that is good for you.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 quotes

  • Neville Longbottom: [to the Snatchers] Ya, you and whose army?

  • Luna Lovegood: Harry, wait, I need to talk to you.

Harry Potter: I'm a bit preoccupied at the moment, Luna.

Luna Lovegood: You won't find it where you're going, you're wasting your time.

Harry Potter: We'll talk later, ok?

    Luna Lovegood: Harry!

    Harry Potter: Later!

Luna Lovegood: Harry Potter! You listen to me right now! Don't you remember what Cho said about Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem? There's not a person alive whose seen it. It's obvious isn't it? You have to talk to someone whose dead.
