Compared with Ip Man 2, Iron Man 2 is the real 2

2 is not a pejorative term here, but a symbol for a sequel.
What should a sequel to a movie look like? The simplest logic is an extension of the story of the first episode. However, when filming the first episode, the producers rarely consider the issue of the sequel, so the story of the first episode is often complete, leaving little suspense and space. The first episode is all about forced hooks. Both Jin Shanzhao and Ren Dahua in Ip Man 2 appear as connecting characters, obviously dispensable roles. But Iron Man 2 is different. In the first episode, we can see that Tony and Pepper have an ambiguous relationship, and the way the two treat their feelings is very interesting. Tony refuses to admit it, but Chili Pepper thinks that playboys like Tony can't be trusted. Therefore, although the relationship is secret, the relationship between the chairman and the secretary has always been maintained. In the sequel, Tony finally thought of a confession when he was facing death threats. Of course, he was too stupid to have a fight with the pig and failed. Fortunately, it was a blessing in disguise and found a good way to crack the toxin.

Let's be honest, Iron Man isn't a stunt-winning movie. It's much worse than Transformers. The biggest stunt fight in the whole film appears at the end of the film. There are more than N unmanned robots chasing Iron Man and his black friends, but the combat effectiveness of those robots is really not very good, and they are basically cannon fodder. And the big boss also hangs up within 2 minutes. The more interesting thing is the "ex-wife" missile. It seems that the tofu dregs project is not a Chinese patent.

As far as the story is concerned, Iron Man 2 doesn't have a big breakthrough. It's a very simple Hollywood model where the new villain appears as the Avengers and is finally defeated by the reborn protagonist. The most eye-catching element in it is the beautiful Scarlett. The female agent she plays is super skilled. I believe that if she puts on a steel battle suit, Tony will have nothing to do. Robert Downey Jr. really brought Tony to life. It seems that only a playboy can really play a good playboy. Gwyneth, on the other hand, makes some people lament the ruthlessness of the years. She is obviously much older in this episode. I wonder if she can still appear in Iron Man 3.

My personal favorite is Tony's approach to death. Everyone treats death differently. Tony the dude didn't even shed a tear when he knew he was about to finish playing. Drink according to the wine, and run according to the car. Just almost arrogantly handed over his company to his sweetheart, Pepper. Another battle with a good friend gave him an excuse to drive away his steel suit. This kind of plot setting reminds me of Wang Shuo's novel "Lost My Love Forever". A real man will never let his lover and friends bear his own pain, even the fear and sadness of death should be his own. bear alone. That's the point of this film.

In short, this is a sequel movie in the true sense. Tony's personality has been fully fleshed out to a large extent. Audiences who like Tony's character will definitely applaud, but audiences who want to go to stunts and want to watch it will inevitably be disappointed.

  • Tony Stark: She's right. The party's over. Then again, the party was over for me, like, an hour and a half ago. The after party starts in fifteen minutes.
