How Studpid, How Courage!

There is no hero, nor is it a hero; but just persistence, the “stupid” persistence of a dream chaser. This is a true story, but I feel a bit surreal.

Have you ever been scorned by others because of your weakness and lack of talent? After being questioned many times by many people, we have to take the right path that others have "guided" for us, and have to abandon the unreachable dream we once had . . . We have returned to reality. There is no doubt that what we have no talents is also right. . . FootBall is not the NBA, and Rudy is not Chris Paul.

After all, there are very few Rudys, and there are very few Rudys that can be finally noticed by everyone, and very few Rudys can achieve "success"-the reason why the quotation marks are successful is indeed not compared to Rudy Rudy. Talented, and he is just that the overall situation of the game has been decided. With the help of his teammates, he has been on the bench for a few minutes. He is not what we really expect to become a heroic key figure to reverse the situation. . . However, although this ending is beyond my surprise, it feels more real (perhaps this is the difference between a real story and a fabricated novel before).

But although Rudy is not that kind of hero, he did show us Superman’s Courage, and it was this courage and spirit that infected the people around him, allowing his teammates to find themselves, and indirectly also He realized a dream he shouldn't have.

And I think this kind of Courage is exactly what we should learn from. If we can have Rudy's Courage in the arena where we are still good at, maybe we may become talented people.

But it’s a pity that many of us can’t persevere like Rudy. While time dilutes everything, it also dilutes our faith and takes away the dream we once had...

Writing here, I have some more Pessimistic, the reality is so cruel, Rudy is not something everyone can stick to, but maybe this is also the essence of life, otherwise, if everyone is Rudy, then it is not clear what is success and what is failure. Flowers still need green leaves to set off, but it depends on whether the green leaves are willing to be green leaves, or whether they are thinking about how to make bright green without turning yellow...

In the end, only a meaningless sack was exchanged, which is still embarrassing. Rudy's efforts weren't pointless, but the sack was. What's more, no matter how strong Notre Dame is, it's nothing but College Football. People with lofty ideals should look to the NFL.

After getting those twenty seconds of brilliance, I have no regrets. With such a spirit, how can he be limited to the field? PS: The buddy who played Rudy's fat teaching assistant friend was actually Jon Favreau, the director of "Christmas Elf" and "Iron Man". . .

Rudy quotes

  • Rudy: Coach I just wanted to thank you for letting be a part of this football program this year.

Ara Parseghian: Rudy, I never I thought I'd be saying this but it's been an honor.

Rudy: But I've come to realize that God made some people out to be football players and that I'm not one of them.

Ara Parseghian: I wish God would put your heart in some of my players bodies.

Rudy: [laughs] Yea, I have this wish to let my father watch one of his sons play football for the Irish and I was wondering if I could possibly dress for one game next season?

Ara Parseghian: Rudy the NCAA is really strict with this 60 player rule, and in some positions we only have one backup and you know that every year we are competing for the national championship. Is this wish just for your father?

Rudy: No its for everyone who told me that being a Norte Dame Football player would be impossible. My brothers, the guys I work with at the mill they can't come to practice and see that I am a part of this team.

    Ara Parseghian: [sighs] OK.

    Rudy: OK?

Ara Parseghian: You deserve it. You will dress for one game next season.

Rudy: [can barely hold in his excitement] Thank You Coach!

  • Frank: That semester at junior college sure didn't make you any smarter.
