value without purpose

In addition to being a tool for the protagonist's revenge, the magic in the film itself has meaning and value. Magic is to give people wonderful fantasy and exciting beauty, and demystifying magic is to destroy this beauty. So the puzzle solver in the film ended up in a prison arrangement. Magic is like a movie, it doesn't care what kind of results it can bring, what matters is its existence itself, the existence itself of beauty. People sometimes pay too much attention to the results that a thing can achieve, and this utilitarian pursuit makes us lose the opportunity to appreciate the thing itself. Maybe we should be like the audience at the magic show in the film, go crazy once, forget yourself once, put aside the purpose, just to indulge itself.
