For me, the most touching moment was the moment when my dad who was drunk and doing nothing all day chose to use himself as a bomb and go die for his big dream. I think this moment has nothing to do with ego, just a belief.
The plot is very simple. It tells the story of aliens conquering the earth, and the human beings led by the United States choose to unite and win the battle together. But the simple plot can't cover up the full emotional line inside, the great love of the president and his wife, the captain and his fiancee, the support of David and his ex-wife, the trust between father and son, and the inseparability of people and animals. There are too many, which is really attractive to me who is not very strict with the plot requirements.
