"Knives Out" is a reasoning and suspense film that is universally recognized as a tribute to Agatha Christie, one of the world's three major reasoning masters. The whole movie is chaotic and orderly. It looks like a mess, but it is actually orderly.
The director is very good at using small foreshadowings to connect the plot, such as the blood on Marta's foot and the words of the old grandmother. These small foreshadowings hook the audience to keep looking down. There is also the arrangement of the scene and the control of the rhythm, which makes people addicted.
There are a lot of critics talking about the film's political metaphor, but I don't know much about American history and politics, so I won't say more.
