The story begins with a little girl with fluffy curly red hair who wishes to gallop through the world as a princess. So, the mother-in-law controlled her words and deeds, and soon, in order to consolidate the relationship between the tribes, Heqin appeared! [Pardon me for saying this]Merida had an argument with her mother and met a witch. In order to change her mother's mind, she made a deal with the witch. Then... There are no spoilers....

The first thing that attracted me was Princess Merida's red hair, which was free and unruly, like an eagle about to fly. Even when her mother asked her to change her dress, she was still reluctant to tidy up her rebellious hair. red hair It always felt like a powerful soul was dormant in Melida's body. She does not hesitate to challenge ancient traditions just for freedom. How about the me I've been chasing? Along with the confrontation with the mother and the little details with the naughty younger brother, It really makes me feel akin.

I have to say that, to a certain extent, I wrote this film review with the idea of substitution in mind. It doesn't matter whether the plot is conventional or not, whether it is creative or not. At least, I think it can give us positive thoughts and warm and lovely little details. Why be so picky? What is a classic?

In the film I saw, it wasn't a rough king, just one who deeply loved his wife, his family's good husband, and a good father. My favorite scene is where my father imitates Merida's communication with her mother, sees his understanding and concern for his daughter, and uses mediation and relaxation as the mainstay of the family.

In this Disney movie, there is no love between the prince and the princess, but a deep affection and warmth throughout. Mother and Merida made different decisions based on whether they were guided by reality or their hearts. The mother was willing to lose her head for the prosperity of the tribe, but she was burdened with the misunderstandings of her children; Merida chose her own freedom but betrayed her responsibility to the tribe. Like, seeing another me. When I was a child, I was close to my mother like a twin, but as I grew up, I became more and more estranged. In this way, with our beautiful vision and enthusiasm for a free life, we hold bows and run on horses, but we ignore the neglected affection in our hearts. Fortunately, Merida broke her mother's spell; fortunately, my parents and relatives are still in good health. Everything, it's not too late.

Being brave is not only to actively change the predicament, but also to learn to face up to our own mistakes seriously and pay close attention to the present. Be strong in tears and bravely follow your heart.

From "Rapunzel" we can see the future development direction of Disney/Pixar, but "Brave" tested the water under the name of Pixar and it was difficult for movie fans to accept it. In fact, it is the same thing. But this time is indeed too stylized, even if it is a princess fairy tale, it must be said, and the Scottish legend should be more fascinating. This is certainly one of Disney's best animations, but it is also one of Pixar's worst animations.

  • King Fergus: [to Mor'du] I'll fight you with my bare hands!

  • Princess Merida: [last lines; narrating] There are those who say fate is something beyond our command. That destiny is not our own, but I know better. Our fate lives within us, you only have to be brave enough to see it.
